Wonderful product. It heats up quickly. Within 10 minutes my bed is warm enough to climb in. I have only needed to turn mine up to 6 so far. It keeps me warm in a room that is around 67 - 68 degrees. Honestly I could probably turn it down a little but as quickly as I drift off to sleep I haven’t thought about it while it was on. It is worth the money. Read more
I give a 4 because the wires do not go to the end to end. So, for those who have difficulty sleeping with pillows this will give you a cold head and cold shoulders. If you're using a pillow you might not care. BUT!!! The feet stay cold. I now have a lap blanket folded over that area on top of my comforter to help keep the heat from above my ankles to go down to my feet. I do love the feel of sleeping on it & it's machine wash and dry. The wires are thin not and bulky I don't feel them. It fits my 10"mattress nicely not oversized. I do recommend.BEWARE wires do go end to end. It did cost a little more than some of the others. It heats up rapidly,works well keeps me warm. And helps to leave arthritis pain👍👍👍 Except for the feet and head area. Read more
This mattress pad has changed our lives! Many of us recall the days of heated blankets but somehow the idea of a heated mattress pad (which actually makes far greater sense if you understand even the most basic elements of thermal dynamics :) had eluded me all these years. A colleague of mine mentioned it one day so I did my research and now I am in sleep-heaven each and every night. The control buttons are laid out well and the cord lengths are more than adequate allowing you to reach an outlet on either side of your bed if need be. I used a little square of double-sided tape to hold each remote in place on the inside corner of both end-tables on either side of our King bed. This unit cleverly recalls your last setting so your desired temperature setting & hours of use will be recalled the next time you turn it on. Also, there is a wide range of temperature control. I had major back surgery many years ago and had to use very hot heating pads to deal with pain and stiffness. I can get those temps from this unit and will do so for maybe for an hour or so after a long day, but then I'll dial it back to a very low number when I'm ready for sleep. My wife and I love this heated mattress pad and wonder how we lived without it. I highly recommend this heated mattress pad and would not change a thing about it. Read more
A gift from my son who was concerned that I would get too cold. The heat is gentle and sleeping in a rather cold room, the lower settings on 1 or 2 is just right. I like the automatic timer to turn it off . There’s no heat in the pillow space, I assume for safety. It’s been used for going on two years, so apparently it’s durable. Read more
This was a great addition. Having the bed heat from underneath rather than an electric blanket on top was a game-changer. Very cozy. Haven’t had it very long, so I hope it lasts but so far so good. Read more
This is our 3rd version of a mattress pad from Sunbeam over the past 10 years. This version has much improved bedside controllers and having only the one cord makes the cable management easier. Functionally it's great, it's warm, has the auto timer for auto shut off and each side has their unique heat level. The only negative I have about this is the mattress plug. In previous versions this was underneath the mattress pad, one on each side. It was hard to notice even for someone tall. This new version has one plug in the middle-end of the bed. This sounds ideal and the placement is, but unfortunately it's on top of the pad and it's sharp! So the plug sticks out and is easily hit by rogue feet and it does not feel good. If the plug was underneath and not so sharp, it'd be perfect. Read more
