It's an OK razor, very good deal for the money if you want to stay under $30. It does a pretty good job shaving overall (it removes the whiskers), but the motor is a little bit on the wimpy side, so I find myself going slower than I used to with my $50 Remington shaver. I used to be able to dry-shave my entire face with my old razor on 30 to 60 seconds. With this one it takes more like 90 to 120 seconds. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this product to get a closer shave under my jawbone / neck area. Hair gets thicker as you get older you know. I had been using trimmers to shave since I have sensitive skin and I tend to bump up easily as a black man. I use my trimmers to get as close as I can to the skin then I use the foil shaver. My first shave I shaved my entire face just to see how good a product it was. I was not disappointed. The shave lasted 3 days before I had to shave again. This is a quality product. U get a 2nd cartridge for free so what a deal. I paid $26 so how can u go wrong. It is made with cheap plastic but it works just a well as a Remington or Wahl. POSITIVES: I am a paraplegic, so I can't always shave as everyone else. I like the idea of being able to shave at any time. The battery life, in my opinion, is excellent. My standard is to have a smooth face at the end of the shave. That is tricky for someone with a tough beard and sensitive skin. I use the shaver for at least 10 minutes per shave. It's probably longer. I have shaved at least six times. I'll let you do the math. I end up with a pretty good shave without Nick's. NEGATIVE: For the purpose of why I bought the shaver, it works well. But when I get back on my feet, I will cease using it. Why? Because it doesn't give me the shave that meets my standards. Even with my trusty wet razor blades, I take a little longer than most, but I am able to achieve a closer shave than with this product. RATING DECISION: For most people, this will suffice as a good shaver.
