Shave quality is ok not too close but I use my manual one after and it works well to give a smoother shave, I figure this one is good for. Quick cut whenever I’m traveling since it is small enough to keep in my bag. Easy to use and clean. Battery last a long time and charging is a breeze. Good value if you don’t like to keep buying the expensive Gillette Read more
The shaver is super easy to use and comes charged 100%. It works quickly but it doesn’t shave as closely as I hoped. I think it’s because the blades are flat instead of the typical knife edge you see in foil shavers. Really like that this is easily rechargeable via USB-C instead of having to find AA batteries. It’s small and light and perfect for travel. The digital display that shows the battery level is a high-end feature. I really wish it had a pop out trimmer though. Read more

The media could not be loaded. For daily dry use or touching up between wet shaves, this shaver is fine. I will always prefer a wet shave with a blade for best closeness and comfort, but that does require a little time to accomplish, so I’ve used electric shavers off and on since I was in my teens, whenever I wasn’t on guard duty keeping an eye out for tyrannosaurs. I’ve used both foil and rotary shavers, and my preference is for rotaries. They seem to grab stubble and stray hairs more effectively. The trouble is they can also bring on razor burn. Foil shavers don’t seem to cause razor burn, but they don’t shave as effectively or as rapidly. I know, whine whine whine. As foil shavers go, this one works at least as well as some others I’ve tried, and better than many. The cutters appear to be metal hoops, rather than vertical blades, which is probably one of the reasons the shaver is more effective than many in the foil-shave design, for me. The box cover art might lead you to believe this is a wet-dry shaver, but it’s not. Ignore the apparent water droplets: This is a dry shaver only, and provided your skin is reasonably dry and clean — that is, there’s nothing to create additional friction between skin and foil — this shaver will in fact result in a comfortable and rather smooth shave, IF you’ve only gone a day or maybe two between shaves. If it’s been longer than that, you’ll probably run into the same thing that happens with all foil shavers: Hair length will be a little too great for the holes in the foil to effectively work with only a few passes. However, if you’re in between wet shave days, this shaver will work fine as a touch-up. That’s how I was able to get the most effective shave from it: I tried it a day after a wet shave. Daily use would probably result in a lot of success for most people. As I also shave my scalp, not just my face, I tried it there too, and it did indeed work, despite the topological challenge of running a straight bar along a curved surface. So I can say that from neck to jaw to cheeks to scalp, this shaver gets the job done, nearly as close as a blade, perhaps not quite as close as a rotary, but with zero razor burn. There’s a power-switch lock function that is enabled when the shaver is unboxed. It took me a few moments to pass the intelligence test. When you press the button you see a red lock icon. A longer press results in a three-second countdown, after which the lock is disabled and the shaver switches on. The video illustrates this. Locking the shaver is the reverse: Press and hold through the countdown again. Ideally, TSA staff, if they ask you to power up the shaver, will not be alarmed by the countdown. The shaver charges via USB-C, which is a trend I heartily approve of; there’s no need to carry an extra adapter around with you. The box claims 100 minutes of use on a full charge. This might be optimistic. The cap is held in place on the shaver by a pair of magnets that are attracted to a comb-like bar that runs along between the two foils. While it looks like it might be a pop-up trimmer, it’s not. It provides some structural reinforcement for the foils, that’s all. Inside, the cutters oscillate in opposing directions. The shaver is not particularly loud, and the chrome-like body is appealing enough. Small, light, and with a sensible recharge technology, this shaver should work fine for most with daily use, or as a touch-up option between wet-shave days. I’d recommend, if you’re planning a purchase for someone else, that you ask them if they prefer foil or rotary shavers, and make your choice accordingly. There is a difference, and there are preferences. Read more

This foil shaver is nice and compact while giving a good close shave. This razor stands out being it is so small and compact making it easy to hold and use and perfect for traveling. The charge lasts a good long while, certainly enough for a close shave. There is a plastic cover to keep the blade protected while not using. My husband loves this shaver and this has become his new go to razor since it is small, easy to hold and provides a decent shave for him. This would make a wonderful gift for friends and family. I may even have to purchase one for me since it is so lightweight and looks like it would work well for shaving my legs and underarms. Read more
This is yet another great shaver from Kemei. I have a few trimmers from them, and they are all very high quality. I could tell that this was well-made the second I opened its box. It feels sturdy and nice in the hand. The cap attaches magnetically (I think...it seems to latch itself when it's almost all the way on). One of my favorite features is the ability to lock it. You can hold the power button down for 3 seconds and it counts down, and then it can be powered up. It is locked the same way. It can also just be left in its unlocked state. This is so handy for when it's in my dopp kit. I have had items like this turn on when something bumped up against them, and then I have to root through my luggage to find the source of the sudden buzzing. I love this feature. Oh, and it also works well as a shaver. It's not quite as close as a blade, to borrow the old marketing schtick, but it does as good a job as any foil shaver I've used. Read more
It is very compact to carry on the go. I used it for long facial hair and it does pull a bit. But for new grow hair, it is a very comfortable shave indeed. I love the smart display and take the guessing battery low game out of the picture. Price is affordable and it comes with all accessories needed. Read more
