Difficult to impossible to insert and eject accessories
I tried the dough hooks and could not insert or eject them without outside help and much time, trouble, and frustration. I don’t know if this is a negative feature of this model or a faulty toggle button on this particular unit and would be curious to hear from other users? The unit is quite heavy, although that for me was worth the trade off for more power, which it has. Read more
Just what I wanted
The most important feature I was looking for was a retractable cord in a handheld mixer. This Kenmore was perfect. I have only just started to use it but so far its great. Having very little storage space in my kitchen was why I needed the retractable cord. I do not use the storage part to store the mixers attachments, that takes up too much room. The beaters fit nicely in my utensil pottery holder on my countertop. Read more
Good mixer, but I wish my old one was still working.
My old hand mixer of 20+ years finally bit the dust, and I really loved that mixer! It had retractable cord and the speeds shifted easily. I miss it. But this one serves the purpose. It has the retractable cord which works well. And I like the storage unit at the bottom for the attachments. Since I have the space for each item, I store the mixer next to the storage unit so there won't be any surprises if it would come unattached. I didn't experience that, however. Just knew it might happen. My only disappointment is the lowest setting is fast. Those reviews are accurate. But if you move to the higher setting then back down to the lowest, it does slow down. Kind of a nuisance - depends on how you use your mixer. I like to do some mixing by hand with a whisk, so this isn't a deal breakder for me. Cleans easily. Overall good purchase for the price. KIND OF HARD TO WORK WITH
Use this almost exclusively for whipping cream. The only thing good about it is the high speed to whip the cream. However, the speed control is very hard to go from one speed to another. The knob is in a very awkward position, and you can never get to a lower speed easily. Also, the beater eject button is very hard to push. The auto rewind of the cord is really the only feature I care for. Read more
