This kind of product is very new to me (ah the many joys of aging!). I don't know how it compares to similar products of this type but I am pretty impressed on how well this worked. It was very easy to put on- It came with a little brush that had a brush on one side and a sponge on the other (it also has a sponge that you can pull out from the bottom of the container). I just used the brush along my hairline and it did a pretty good job covering up the grey. I can see this being useful for filling in any sparse areas to make hair also look fuller (though I don't have that issue (YET). If you pick the correct color to match your hair, it works really well and looks natural. I was lucky and I think this was a good color choice for me. I am using it just to cover those pesky gray spots until I can get to the hair salon. It also lasted pretty well- I didn't wake up with a mess on my pillow and was able to keep it until my next shampoo. For me, it won't replace those regular salon visits but it's nice to have handy when you are getting ready and something ends up being visible and you don't want that but don't have time to do a more permanent fix it in that moment. The container is also nice and compact so it's easy to take on the go or for a trip. I like it! The photo shows the product in light brown- it came out accurately on my screen but not be on yours. Pros: - the all in one nature makes this hair powder easy to apply anywhere and take with you on the go. It’ll easily fit in your make up bag, your purse or gym bag or in a medicine cabinet. - it is pigmented, you only need to lightly dip the applicator on it to pick up color - it’s easy to apply and blends in subtlety and you can build it up for more coverage - The bonus brush makes it easier to control application - The dark brown color does apply as expected Cons: - it is much smaller than I expected and when you consider how much empty space is in the bottom it’s not a lot of product at all for this price point it makes it less of a value - it does rub off. I applied it to my hairline and then rubbed the back of my hand against it to test fall out and it smudges off. I’m not sure how well it’ll do in sweaty or wet conditions so something to be aware of in wet conditions - Be aware there is a protective sheet over the mirror you need to peel off, it was tricky to get it to peel but if you mirror looks blurry that cover just needs to come off. Overall as a cosmetic cover up for your scalp this powder works, there’s no awkward smells and the package is discrete making it easy to use. I would just caution using white pillows or to expect too much out of it, for just lightly filling in your hairline for thin hair it works like any make up would. Read more

I was far more impressed by this hairline root touch up powder than I expected to be. My before and after photos don’t do it justice. The compact itself is well designed with a built in mirror and multiple applicators, including a dual ended brush/puff wand and extra blotters. I didn’t think I’d use all the tools but I ended up reaching for every one of them. Application was incredibly easy and to my surprise, the coverage lasted all day without transferring or fading. I color my hair at home and as it grows out, those stubborn grays along my part and hairline always show first. This powder covered them beautifully. I can’t speak to how it performs on larger gray areas but for targeted touch ups, it worked exceptionally well. The price felt a little on the higher side at first but considering how well it performs, I’m genuinely happy with the purchase. This is a great set and I’m very pleased with the results. Read more
