I have always had and enjoyed Santokus and bought this one to complement my other Japanese kitchen knives. This Damascus blade is awesome; razor sharp and a great for all around use. It is on the heavier side, blade heavy I should specify, which to me is ideal for the way I use this knife, the blade does the work. I highly recommend this knife to those who prefer the “rock chop” motion. Yet this knife is just as adept for pull or push cuts, straight chop. Tip work is above average for a Santoku. Well worth the money. I also recently purchased a Kiritsuke from this company and am extremely pleased with it as well. Read more
