The media could not be loaded. I just purchased this KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender KHBV53 in matte black. I use this 1-2 times a week. I ordered this immersion blender because my old Cuisinart blender(s) just stopped working. I have had two of those that have broken over time. They both eventually shorted out and they began to smoke. Time to move on! I decided to try the KitchenAid model because of the excellent reviews and because there is only one button to push to blend. I also like the rubberized pan guard because I usually use this immersion blender to make creamy soups, and the enamel coated surfaces of my high-end pots could get scratched by exposed spinning metal blade. I like how easy it is to attach the blender to the motor and how easy it is to attach the pan guard. The unit goes together and comes apart quickly. What really surprised me is how quiet this blender is compared to the Cuisinart model. I think they are comparable in weight and size. Another cool feature is the measuring cup with lid. This makes it very easy to make smoothies and salad dressings, and to store them. The lid fits snuggly and makes the measuring cup useful. This was a well thought out package. The item is a reasonable cost for the item. Positives: • Light weight immersion blender • Selection of colors • Pan guard, easy to use • Variable speed • Blending jar/measuring cup with lid • Quiet • Easy to clean Negatives: • None This is my honest review of this item. I hope it was Helpful in making your purchasing decision. Thank you for reading it. 5 stars Read more

Definitely buy again, bought the rechargeable version and didn’t last and had less power. The cord is its limitation but more powerful and always has power when plugged in. Read more
This hand blender is the right size to mix things in large pots, and it's easy to clean. Our old plastic-bodied model cracked and stained easily. The depth was better than our previous blender, and the power seemed very good. I had hoped that the handle would not need to be the bulk of the blender, but it was still ok. The blender also mixed things in the pot very quickly and efficiently, so that was very nice. I made apple butter without peeling the apple, and it was not possible to see the peels. I was anticipating it to look a bit like whole wheat bread versus white bread, but it was as though there were no peels at all. This has been very nice to have in the kitchen. Read more
This KitchenAid hand blender is a 5‑star workhorse in my kitchen, especially for making soups. The variable speed control lets me gently blend delicate broths or power through thick chowders and stews without splashing all over the pot. It’s incredibly easy to use right in the pot, so I can quickly smooth out beans, potatoes, or roasted veggies into a silky texture. Cleanup is a breeze, and it’s become my go‑to tool for fast, restaurant‑quality soups every week. Read more
Super duper hand held blender. Does heavy duty jobs with aplomb. I use it to blend up soups. Easy to clean. Nice to have the anti-scratch attachment. KitchenAid has been a good brand for me. Read more
