Heavyweight blades, nice handles, good balance and SHARP! I cut myself the first time I used a knife from this set - so be careful - but hey, better sharp than not. Does not take up a lot of counter space and the wood block is quite beautiful. Just the right number and types of knives - no BS scissors or stupid sharpeners bulking it out. We got these to replace our super old dull set of kitchen knives that we got from a discount store years ago. My mother in law has the same set and I got to try them before I bought them. Wow what a difference! I no longer get blisters because I don't have to use nearly as much pressure to cut my veggies, meats, etc!. These are reasonably priced as well. If you're on a budget and need a good set of knives, these are great! Read more
