We have mainly used it to blend frozen strawberries into smoothies; it’s so powerful that blending 2 cups of whole frozen strawberries is light work for the Koblenz!!! IT'S QUIETER THAN SOME OTHER MODELS: I also can’t believe how quiet it is compared to our old blender. That is not to say it doesn’t make a lot of noise, because sure, it’s a blender, but it is less noisy than our old blender and quieter than our coffee grinder, to put things into perspective. It's also not as loud as my Nutri-Bullet. OPTIONAL BLENDING CONTAINERS, STAINLESS STEEL BLADES, DISHWASHER SAFE: It comes with a 68 oz pitcher and a 30 oz smoothie cup for making individual smoothies. The pitcher and smoothie cups have separate blades/bases. It’s very easy to take apart and clean, which is important to me. The smoothie cup is also dishwasher safe. The stainless steel blades are nice and sharp. EASY TO OPERATE: To operate this blender, just place the pitcher on the blade (or smoothie cup with blade onto the base) until the lights come on (that’s when you know it’s on the base correctly.) Once the container is on the base correctly, press the power button and then twist the knob to the right until you reach your desired power/speed. There are 6 levels/icons, and each level gets higher until you reach the highest setting. The knob indicator bar and the speed icons don’t match up perfectly, which is a little confusing, but it is not hard to intuit which speed you need since it just moves from slower to faster the further you turn the knob. To use “Pulse” mode, you will need to turn the knob to the desired speed, then push the power button to turn the blender on, and then push the “P” button to pulse the blender. The media could not be loaded. I got this to make smoothies and salsa. I had no idea how solid this thing was and how much I could actually do with this! It's like an industrial blender that's big and will do it all! All the pieces fit perfectly and it goes together smoothly and lock into place. There is a very nice speed dial on it with a rubber grip that is sleek and quiet as you adjust the speed. While it is running, the blender itself is quiet, unlike most blenders. It has many different uses for sure. Comes apart easily and the parts are made of thick solid plastic that can be cleaned quickly. Definitely not your standard blender. I have been making smoothies with it for a few months now, and I'm very pleased with the performance as well as the easy cleanup. Read more

I gave this blender to my friend before Christmas for under her tree. She called me on Christmas Day to tell me that she loves it and that it works great. Using the blender she made pancake mix for her family for lunch. They do their big Christmas meal in the evening, so lunch is often a lot like breakfast. The pancake mix came out wonderfully; creamy, smooth and easy to cook! Later in the afternoon, my friend reported, she made smoothies for herself and her daughters, and THOSE came out wonderfully too! The blender is powerful and effective, and it doesn't make too much noise, even when chopping vegetables for smoothies. It's easy to set up, and easy to use. Just as important, it's easy to clean up too. My friend takes some warm water and simply "blends" it at high speed for about 15 seconds or so, and that usually cleans up the "carafe" while mixing up anything that might be on the inside of the lid. The "blending"/cleaning process cleans off the blades thoroughly. She then pours out the water, rinses out the blender, and sets the blender to dry. Done! Easy! What a heavy duty blender! You get the standard blender carafe along with a second one that comes with a top for easy pour. When you select which blending option you want the blades spin and pulsate, to twist and turn the blades to chop up properly and evenly. For you settings you have two options, turn the knob to the blend setting you want or use the touch screen. The touch screen is a little lacking in sensitivity. You have to touch the right spot and a bit harder than you would think for it being touch. At first I didn't think it worked. This blender is close to being on par with pricing, a little higher then some with the same capabilities. This is definitely a heavy duty blender with many options and good quality. If you do a lot of blender work and are in the need of a strong blender, this one has 6 speeds and has the blades that alternate as it is blending for you. The noise level isn't loud at all. I was expecting it to be louder with how big it is. We have bought many cheap blenders in the past and this hands down is superior to a cheap blender. Generally we blend smoothies and in the summer margarites or daiquiris. with those we usually have to blend it twice to get the ice nice and smooth. With this blender, it is amazing how well and quick it does our frozen drinks. Even though it is winter and cold out, we did have to try it on a frozen drink. This Blender is amazing and definitely an upgrade from my last one. It fits perfectly on my counter without taking up too much space and it looks great with my kitchen appliances and decor. I mainly use it to make my smoothies every morning, and it works so well. It blends up anything I put in it with ease and it does the job quickly. It's not overly loud and the presets are easy to use and convenient. It well made and solid, I can tell it's going to last for years. Cleaning it out by hand is a breeze as well. I have no complaints at all with this Blender, I'm very satisfied. Now I have the best smoothies everyday thanks to this unit, its awesome. Read more
