It's big, it's sleek, it looks like a really cool piece of military tactical gear! And it does the job!!! I used it immediately and with the wider opening I had no problem with my ugh thick toe nails. You don't need a lot of force on the down stroke and they are sharp and get the job done. Honestly, it's sturdy, it looks sturdy and will make your current nail clipper look puny. I used it on my finger nails and they were easy to use and cut them like butter. I love it. Ordering was easy and it took about to week to get here (standard ship) and I even got a nice e-mail from ClipPro-Kohm asking if I had rec'd the product and if I was happy and if not to please immediately contact them, etc. Great customer service after the sale. Are they paying me to say all this?? nope. I just love this item and it's something I wish I had gotten a long time ago. These actually work great!! I mean well. I got stepped on by a big girl with spiky red pumps in the lunch line back in high school. She put all her weight on my big toe. I lost my toe nail and it never was the same since I was 19 and many sports later. I have broke a few pair of clippers over the years. The other day I was trying to cut my thick big toe nail and I could NOT fit my clipper on it. So I thought... I am going to check Amazon. Sick of doing this for 20 yrs. Fighting with my toe. Went to Amazon, read the reviews and ordered this in 6 minutes and I think got it the next day. Opened it.. and my 10 yr old watched me and could not believe it worked. It worked great. Fit around my toe nail. Cut it perfectly. It is strong, and really nice to look at too, pretty design. You can tell it is strong and well made and professional looking. This is a very good clipper, but I'd held out hopes for a great one. The tool is nicely oversized with an attractive brushed finish, large, comfortable lever and a surprisingly functional filing surface inlaid underneath. It's very sharp, precisely machined and well balanced. The curvature of the blades I found just right, neither dead flat not too radiused. Just two complaints: the first is a common one as the lever doesn't hit its cut point until it's nearly flush closed. This doesn't inspire a lot of confidence as it leaves one wondering if it's going to cut at all before the end of the stroke. Once you get past that and realize it's not a cheap cutter that's going to flex down without cutting you get some trust and can probably look past that a bit. The second issue is that the jaws open very wide. Too wide in my opinion for safety's sake. Overall, it's a very nice pedicure tool. I'm still in the lookout for the holy grail, but this one is a reasonable choice. Read more
I had been looking for a nail clipper with a really wide opening. The local retail stores that I visited only had standard ones. As much as some people disparage Amazon for taking business away from local businesses, the fact of the matter is that Amazon offers far greater product selection and at fair, reasonable prices. As a bonus, even though I only chose the standard, free, slow shipping, I ordered the items on Friday and they were delivered two days later -- on Sunday! Now that is service! I was tempted to only give this item a four star rating because it is a little tricky to use -- probably because it is much larger than a typical nail clipper. That said, the qualify of this product, including the sharpness of the cutter, is excellent. By the way, I did NOT receive this product for free, in exchange for a review. I found it online and ordered it in a normal order. Read more
