Oh, this is so much more comfortable than what the clinic provided! Theirs appeared to be made of cotton that was loosely woven, resulting in a scratchy feeling and little to no elasticity. Conversely, these liners, have a nice stretch to them and are very soft against the skin as others mentioned. It’s better to tuck the ends under for a nice edge. I chose not to do that for the thumb as that area was quite sensitive post surgery. I simply snipped the end to size and dabbed clear fingernail polish on the edge to prevent fraying. I had carpal tunnel surgery on my hands and these hand socks worked so well at covering my bandages when going out in public. After I got my stitches removed, I continued to use the socks to protect my incision from getting dirty while still allowing it air to heal. I hand washed the socks overnight in between wears and they dried by morning. I would have given 5 stars, but as another reviewer stated, the socks do ravel a bit. Read more

My wrist splint is black and looked terrible with the beige liner that the doctor gave me. The black sock blends with the splint and looks so much better. Might as well be stylish! I trimmed a little and it works perfectly. Read more

The thumb section is way too tight, leaves a mark where seam runs down creating a pressure point. I should have returned - yet was desperate for a liner for my cast annd could not find substitute at a local store. Ended up asking someone to cut off the end for a full opening, freedom for thumb yet zero comfort. Read more

I have seen where this is suppose to be adjustable by cutting off either end. I saw the reviews that say if you do then it falls apart very quickly. Well these were too long but I folded it under rather than cutting it. The fabric is so light and where it is turned under doesn't affect the brace at all. This is a great alternative to cutting and allows the stitching to remain intact so it won't unravel. Good product. I'm happy that it will keep my braces cleaner so I won't have to wash them as often. Read more
