This keyboard has an extra-high vertical travel, making a clearly audible and tactile "click". It feels very much like the old-school IBM keyboards of decades ago, which I personally prefer. It's a USB keyboard, but rather than having the cable integrated, it's separate - there's a USB-C port on the keyboard itself, that you can plug a standard connector cable into (included). That may be handy since you could use a different type of connector if needed, and also, if the cable ever wears out you can just replace it instead of throwing out the keyboard. The keyboard has LED backlighting, a feature I'm not terribly fond of but which I suppose has its uses. Unfortunately, you can't seem to select a solid color - it's all flashy and fadey which I find distracting. Fortunately there is a handy switch on the side to just turn the lighting off entirely. I wish I could have just selected and set a single solid color, as the manual suggests is possible, but it's too cryptic and I couldn't figure it out. Oh well. There's a rotary dial to adjust the light brightness, but it only has a couple of levels - seems like a waste of real-estate. There's a special-function key that lets you use the regular function keys to control a music player, but they aren't labeled so this isn't very useful. To my surprise, several common keys like HOME and END are missing. Otherwise, the layout is standard. There is also no fold-down legs on the bottom to adjust the angle - instead, there are replaceable rubber feet of various sizes, which will without doubt get lost shortly. The best thing about this keyboard, by far, is its feel - I do like typing on it. Aside from that, the lighting feature is a waste, and the lack of adjustable feet and missing function keys is annoying. If you like a classic high-profile keyboard though, this might suit you well. The design of the keyboard is plain and clean that displays a good amount of RGB lighting, I was hoping for an LCD screen to display gifs but it looks like a plain screen to display what lock is activated and the Langtu brand. The knob is good for controlling volume or to switch it to controlling RGB lighting and its different designs. What I found the best feature out of the keyboard are its keys, its soft to press, super quiet, and keycaps are big enough and comfortable enough for my big hands to type on to avoid a lot of less misspelling especially when typing super fast. Downloading the software to program the keyboard it, it did provided me what program to download which was “L98” however when installing and using the software it appeared to display “L19”, anyway the program did work and it does provide basic customization options such as remapping of keys, macros, and changing RGB lighting. If this is someones first introduction into "Gaming Keyboards" this might seem pretty good. The keys look good, layout is great, it is quiet (which is subjective on if it is good or bad) but is this cheap, and not in the affordable for you way. I have built my own keyboard from other brands for cheaper than this and much better. The membrane feels mushy and sometimes you are not sure if you hit a key all the way. The keyboard is made from very cheap plastic and creaks noticeably. The lighting was not very bright and only appeared to be on for one side, I could not figure out how to turn the other side on (it may have even been broken) The thing that bothered me the most is that the legends are printed on, which means they are raised so you can feel them. This just irritated my finger tips over time. It also means that they can be scratched off with your fingernails. Overall, for me, a keyboard guy, this is a miss. There are MANY other options that I would recommend before this one. If, however, you have a kid just getting into gaming and this goes on sale, or is lower in price, might be a good first keyboard or a keyboard that is ok if it takes a beating and gets replaced.
