The Lamicell stand I reviewed is the “NEW - Upgraded Carbon Fiber” version. But the only difference in specs is the carbon fiber itself. You’re safe buying the cheaper, non-upgraded version in black. This car-mount is the first mag-safe stand I’ve ever owned. So I’m going to talk about how it performs, not gush about the conveniences of every mag-safe stand. I have to talk about the included magnet sticker because you *have to install it on your phone case before installing the stand in your car*. It’s a given you’re not going to keep an unprotected smartphone on a stand in a moving car. I’ve tried other magnet stickers on my iPhones 14 and 12, and they were not as effective as the one Lamicall includes. However, for it to be effective, you’ll have to ignore one of Lamicall’s instructions. *Do not* place the included transparent sticker on your phone’s case before placing and pressing the circular magnet sticker on top. If you do, both stickers will peel off your phone’s case when you try to remove it from the Lamicall stand. Just use the included magnet sticker and keep it on your case for an hour before using it. The stand is rather ordinary looking. Others I’ve seen are more beautiful, and come in prettier colors, but in my experience, Lamicell stands tend to be the most dependable, and this one is. Remember that you must stick it to your dashboard and leave it there for 24 hours before using it. If you do that, you’ll find that any phone case to which you apply a Lamicall magnet sticker will keep your phone in place. The magnet and stand work with my wife’s rather bulky One Plus 12 in its Urban Armor case as well. The 360-degree rotation of the stand is helpful and means you don’t have to choose the perfect angle in which to install the Lamicall. You can unlock the stand’s position, then lock it and it will stay perfectly fixed. This allows you to drape the stand over your dashboard so that it doesn’t clutter your windshield view at all. And the sideways phone will stay put and not fall off the stand. My wife and I took a road trip yesterday to return a router to a company that wouldn’t allow you to mail it, but only had an office that accepted returns in another state! We encountered a fair amount of bumps getting to that office in Connecticut. Her OnePlus on its stand was the least-jostled thing in the car the whole time. We’ve only had the stand for a week, so I can’t tell you how much longevity the stickers will have. But if either falls off over the next six months, I’ll return to add that to my review. So far, this stand performs better than any I have at home. But then again, none of those uses magnets. Read more

I'm sure it's a great product, but it didn't work on my Mazda CX5. With no flat surfaces and a slanted windshield, I had trouble finding a secure spot for it. I'm not a fan of sticking things to leather interiors or glass, and had hoped that the suction would do the trick. For my car, it didn't work. Read more
