I was seeking a dryer that was quiet, light and worked quickly. This dryer is very quiet. It sounds like blowing air rather than having the whirl of a motor which was high pitched. The quieter noise is better for my hearing and when others are sleeping while I dry my hair. I also needed a light dryer given a shoulder injury. This is very light and easy to maneuver when using the attachments. When using the attachments, my hair does dry quickly. It is very powerful that when I dry my hair I always use the attachments or my hair can get tangled (it is shoulder length). What I am not a fan of is how the buttons are located where you hold the dryer. Sometimes I accidentally switch a setting when drying my hair. This was the same for my other L'ange dryer. But, I am keeping it because all of the other features (especially light and quiet) are worth this minor inconvenience. I didn't feel it was worth purchasing the Dyson, which does not have buttons on the handle, because this worked just as well for 1/3 of the cost. Read more

I was afraid to buy this hair dryer because of some of the reviews but wow have I been happily surprised! This dryer is everything and more! It is so quiet, it takes me less than 3 minutes to dry my hair, and it’s lightweight! I have rotating shoulder cuff issues and sometimes it hurts to hold a hair dryer up to dry my hair but I haven’t had a single problem with this one! The settings are nice that there are 3 heat and 3 speed! The cool shot is almost like air conditioning! I highly recommend this dryer! Best light weight hair dryer. The multiple heat and blower settings make it easy to adjust to your hair. I have short hair and have never had a dryer get it done so fast and leave it so shiny. I made room in my suitcase on a trip because I like it so much. Read more

UPDATE: 7 months later, and the device has stopped working entirely with very light use. I would suggest avoiding this seller and going through a reputable dealer like ULTA or the official Lange website :( TL;DR : This hair dyer I bought through Amazon has a different build quality and button layout from the one I bought directly through the ULTA website. Beware. I originally bought this hair dryer for myself from the ULTA website because it was on sale. (From $250 marked down to $180) I completely fell in love with the product and it's impeccable quality. So much so that I just HAD to get one for my mom. By the time I went to buy one for her, the sale on the ULTA website was gone, but it was still on sale on Amazon! What a win! Or so I thought. She got the hair dryer and told me that she loved it, the only thing was she told me was that it was sometimes hard to hold in her hand, which I didn't understand because MY hair dyer is so light weight it feels like you're holding a feather (maybe). Fast forward 2 months, to now, my mom is helping me recover for a major surgery. She brought her hair dyer over to compare and I couldn't believe the difference. Each hair dryer is the exact same except for the actual weight of the motor. My dryer (from ULTA) is as light as a feather, where as my mom's dryer (this Amazon listing) has a motor that is so heavy, that the dryer is imbalanced in your hand no matter what angle you hold it. It's very awkward and causes some hand strain towards the end of the hair drying session. I'm pretty disappointed, because I wanted my mom to have the best experience with this product like I had. Because I bought this in October and the return window is now closed, I can't even get a replacement. No reviews I saw at the time had mentioned this, so I thought I'd share my experience. (I mean come on, who WOULD buy 2 of the exact same dryer, unless you're me apparently haha). The price of this dryer at the time was marked down from $250 to $180 which was the same price I paid on the ULTA website when it was on sale, so I assumed I was receiving the exact same product. This dries my air in about 5 minutes, even on the cold temperature setting. I recommend this to any hair type, especially thick hair. The diffuser works great and the other magnetic ends or even more impressive. The power of the product reminds me of a leaf blower.
