The quality is good and it looks natural as a touch up for gray and thinning areas. Upon opening the case it looks like a pan of any powder cosmetic, like blush or eye shadow would look, and comes in a sleek (albeit larger than necessary) compact with an applicator brush. The color in the pan looks pretty dark compared to the description, I actually ordered "Light Brown" and would definitely consider it more of a medium brown in appearance, you may want to consider that when selecting your shade. However when it is applied to gray hairs of course it looks lighter than it does in the pan. When applied to my gray hairs, the Light Brown looks quite natural on my medium brown hairline. I noticed no transfer on my silver silk pillowcase, or inside a light gray beanie I wore much of the day. It also lasts all day through my work in the health care field, even placing and removing face masks and protective eyewear many times throughout the day. If I don't wash my hair the next day, there is still coverage, though I might need to add a bit more in some areas. It seems a little pricey, but even after several uses it looks like I haven't even touched the product, so it appears it will last quite a long time and may be a good value in the end (I mostly use it around my hairline and it does not take much product). As far as ingredients, a search indicates some of them are silicones, many are synthetics, and though they are all considered safe even by more strict standards such as the EU, to me I would not consider them truly "clean" ingredients (I mention this because I do color my hair with an organic color my hairdresser orders for me, and I touch up the roots in between times with a botanical based color that is considered clean - natural ingredients are important to me, but not to everyone). I do appreciate that this product gives me natural looking touch up coverage in between colorings and is easy to apply. Read more

Let me tell you why I was so excited about getting this. After a few years of not spending much time outside, my hair was starting to look flat. My hairdresser suggested highlights. I’ve had them a few times before, so I figured why not? Needless to say, I’ve been getting them for the last couple years. She does a great job on the cut and, I guess, on what you’d call the color (the highlights). She puts a lot in, but she’s the only hairdresser I’ve ever been to that when you’re done, it looks like it’s time to go back for a touch up. My hair always looks like it’s “grown out” before I ever get out of the chair. No matter how many times I ask if she can get it closer to my scalp, she never does. There’s always about a ½” or so of untouched hair at the root, so I thought, “BINGO! There’s my solution!” I got the platinum, because I wasn’t sure how light or dark it was actually going to be when it got here. The color I received looks like what I ordered, so that’s good. Now, I don’t need it for grays; I need it for the roots after highlights and in a couple spots at my hairline. I have naturally dirty golden blonde hair, so I’m trying to cover up the somewhat noticeably darker roots where she’s put highlights, since she stops about a half inch or so from the scalp/root area. I can tell a bit of a difference, but not a huge difference. Thankfully, my roots aren’t super dark. I think I should’ve gone with a shade darker, but it looked like it was going to be too dark, and I’m trying to turn darker lighter. If I was covering grays, it would be the opposite, turning lighter darker. It comes in eight colors, but I wish there was another color that was darker than platinum, but lighter than dark blonde, or a warmer platinum. Honestly, I think this product works just fine, and I’m going to keep using it. Somethings I really like about it are that it’s talc-free, and once you put it in, it stays until you shampoo it out. That let’s you skip a day before washing your hair again, if you have hair that allows you to do that. It comes with a built-in mirror and is small enough to carry in your purse in case you need to touch up on the go. It shampoos out easily for me, and I didn’t notice any residue left after shampooing. I think the value on this one is going to have to be left up to the beholder. For me, it seems a little pricey compared to other products that do the same thing. You need to try it and see for yourself, because if this makes you giddy after using it, then, you may find this a great value. I wasn’t giddy, but I wasn’t displeased, either. Read more

It pains me to write this review because up until now I have never found a product from this company that I didn't love. I am a super fan of Lange hair products. This might be a nice product for someone else, but it didn't show up in my hair, and it certainly didn't cover any gray or dark roots. The applicator is a brush, which I am more accustomed to a daub sort of applicator, and it felt like I couldn't get enough product at first onto the brush. Then I used a different applicator and it wasn't any better. It just didn't cover my gray, which is my whole reason for getting it in the first place. I think I have the right color... this is the same color I get in other brands, which have worked fine. So, all in all, this product was a fail for me. However, I still love the brand! Read more
No. It didn’t do anything. It did not cover my greys at all. Such a disappointing product. Read more
