Now I have six USB-A ports instead of two. Works great, just plug it in. I use it for the wireless mouse, for the bluetooth transmitter which sends music on a different frequency to avoid cut-outs, and for large capacity thumb drives to save my data somewhere other than the hard drive in case of crashes or hack attacks. I bought this USB C dock for my MacBook Pro because it's pink, cute and small (convenient for traveling) but after using it for a week, I had a few problems with it. The first problem was the heating problem. It got hot after a few hours of use, and since the material is a bit on the "cheap and light" side, I guess maybe that was the reason why it caused the heating problem. The second problem was the lagging. I tried all 4 ports for my wireless mouse and it had the same lagging problem, like when I moved my mouse, it would take a second or 2 to response to my action, which was a bit inconvenient since I'm a designer and I need something to work fast. I was debating to leave a review about it but luckily the seller reached out to me before I leave my review (LOL). I discussed those problems with her and she offered to send me a new one to me with no charge. I received it within a week and been using for 2 days now and I don't have any problems like I had with the old one yet, I'll update my review again after a month or so to see how it works or how long it will last. I'm appreciate the fact that she reached out to me and willing to solve the problem with me is something I rarely get from other sellers, and I'm an Customer for almost 10 years. I picked up this product as I needed a cheap solution and so far I have not observed any mouse lags or other issues reported with this. As a disclaimer I would need to say that I bought this to connect devices operating at slow speed (mouse, keyboard), and I have not tried connecting external HDDs or other devices requiring high speed.
