Works nicely Read more
Does what it’s supposed to do! The scale is bigger than the average scale. The numbers on the display are a good size. And I like that the various measurements stay on the display long enough to write them down (if you want to keep track of them). I only weigh in once a week, so I can’t say too much about the battery life. Read more
Works exactly like they say it does. No need for an app or to hand over your data. Long press the SET button if you want to change the default info. First review I wrote was very unhappy, I thought it needed an app AGAIN, but I reread the manual and it was user error. Read more
Tells me the weight but not the bmi measurements Read more
So far, unit is great! Very repeatable/accurate, and the additional data points are consistent as well. I doubt the fat%/muscle% numbers are accurate, however if you consider your starting numbers as a baseline, you can track % changes, which I believe would be helpful. I also like that it's lit up so I can read it in the dark (I weigh myself before dawn). Read more
The Lepulse Body Fat Scale is one of the few scales that lets the user decide to use it with an App downloaded or not to use an App. However, you do get access to more body measurements as well as create a history for tracking the measurements. It is nice to have an appliance that works out of the box without having to get overly technical and use an App if you don’t want to. The scale works to do weight alone but the onscreen information it provides is more relevant to the person being weighed if that person’s gender, age and height are entered--entering this information is done right on the scale. The following information is displayed on the scale’s large colored LED screen: weight (lb or kg); the person number (it can be programmed for multiple users, P1, P2, etc.); age; height (feet and inches); fat %; muscle % body mas index % (BMI); water % one weight; and calories (Kcal). If you want to use the AFit Health App, a QR code is in the User Manual to scan for the App to download it. Once the App is downloaded, if you do not want to create an account to collect and store your weight information, the App allows for Visitor login. With the Visitor login, you still need to enter gender, age and height and it will show you more measurement categories beyond what is displayed on the scale—each time you use the Visitor login, you will need to reenter your information. If you do create an account with AFit Health, the information from all the times you use the scale will be available for you to see for tracking purposes and it also provides more body measurement category information that you don’t get access to if just using the Visitor login. In order to get more of the body measurement information beyond the weight number (lb or kg), you do need to stand on the scale in bare feet. Regardless of whether you use the Visitor login or create and account, when you weigh yourself and the App reports the information, the App provides a statement of the weight information it has collected—Underweight, Healthy weight, Overweight, Obese, Severe Obese. The Lepulse Body Fat Scale is constructed very well and looks nice. The top is a tempered glass and the base is thick plastic and has a contour so it is easy to grasp with your fingers when picking up.. Although the feet are positioned at the corners, the scale does not flex which is good. The scale dimensions are 14” wide, 11.75” long and about 1.25” tall. It does run on four (4) AAA batteries which were already inserted in the scale. The LED screen display is fairly large and colored. The additional measurements, besides the weight number, are shown as symbols that are readable when standing on the scale. The scale’s measured weight will change when it is moved around on the floor so accuracy or calibration is a bit questionable. Although the Lepulse Body Fat Scale provides Accuracy Range in the User Manual (+ or - .66lb to 1.1lb, which are fairly big numbers to be off), that Accuracy Range appears to be in relation to the weight on top of the scale, not necessarily the scale calibration with nothing on it. Setting the scale in one spot and consistently weighing yourself in the same manner at the same time of day should yield accurate information. It just may affect accurate tracking if the scale location changes much. I rate the Lepulse Body Fat Scale at about 4.5* mainly because it can be used out of the box without and App being required and if using the App, you can get more measurement information with the Visitor login or creating an account to have a weight history and get even more weight information. Another positive point is the scale can be set for multiple users (P1 through P9) and that individual’s information is specific to them which can be accessed in the App. The size of the scale is good and can accommodate people of different shapes and sizes. The LED Screen is large and doesn’t power off immediately after registering the weight results which is helpful to give your time to see what the information is on the screen. A few things that would make the scale better would be to have a calibration mode for more accuracy for when the scale is moved and set in other places on the floor, reduce the Accuracy Range amounts for the scale weighing, and incorporate a rechargeable battery rather than needing to use store bought batteries. This scale tells you all you want to know just by standing on it. You don't have to download an app or use your phone constantly. I think it has one, but I don't have time to mess with that. I can just step 9n scale and see it all in real time. Read more
