The best thing about this scale is that it doesn't have to connect to the internet. It's also accurate and not flakey like the last scale I owned. I checked and my weight was exactly the same on both the old and new scales. Read more

Good if you have a photographic memory. It only shows the info for seconds then goes blank. No way to view past measurements. Great idea terrible execution. I know I can just take a photo each time but that is the point of getting a scale with memory. 🤷♂️ Read more

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I guess I had to try another scale in this category to see the shortcomings of this one. I thought it was odd to be telling someone with osteoporosis or osteopenia everywhere they had an abnormally HIGH bone mass at 9.7! And I don't think you should have to take your camera with you to have enough time to review your readings. So while I thought that scale would do it for me, it didn't. This is priced just below the body scales with 8 electrodes. That's what I acquired, and the readings seem more realistic. And the app lets me review the results at my leisure, without a camera. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The LePulse Smart Body Fat Scale (Model: F11) is an attractive scale that “leverages bioelectrical impedence analysis (BIA) technology to help you conveniently measure your body composition and other indicators”. There is a QR code that tells you to scan it for more information and support. More on this later... You need to be barefoot because it sends a weak electrical current through your body, entering through one foot and exiting through the other (you feel nothing). For this reason, you shouldn’t use it if you have a pacemaker or other medical device implanted. The initial setup walks you through selecting the proper units (US or Metric). You enter the data (height, age, and gender) for each user before they step on the scale so that when you do you are establishing a baseline. Then you make sure you’ve selected the correct user each time before you step on the scale. The parameters reported are: Weight BMI Body Fat % Muscle Mass% Body Water % Bone Mass % Change in weight since last weigh The manual does not include any charts or explanation of any of these parameters except BMI. (The BMI listed in the manual states it’s for ages 18-100. But this is not the currently accepted range for people 65 and older. That range starts at 25, which is actually the start of the overweight class for anyone younger than 65.) And I was unable to find any of these parameters on the website you are directed to when you scan the QR code in the manual. No FAQs. That’s where they fall short. They should be explaining what each of these parameters means, and provide charts, calculators, or links to them that will show anyone who is looking what the ranges for these parameters are based on their gender and age. How can you sell someone on a pricier scale if you don’t fully explain the features and benefits? Instead, I had to use a search engine/AI to explain this all to me. NOT providing this education to the consumer on the manufacturer’s website is a missed opportunity for creating loyalty, community, a following, and customer retention. While I’d like to deduct a star for that, it wouldn’t be fair for me to rate the product based on the lack of accompanying education. It’s an attractive, well-built scale that seems to provide more information than most which don’t require an app. It will be my primary scale. Read more
