I like this game but there are certain things that don't work right. When trying to talk to animals you need to have an open spot on you utility belt or talk to them all first in the morning before switching tools or it won't let you talk to them. They need to have a seed spreader it takes too much energy to put seeds down. Been having issues using the highest watering can sometimes it just don't want to work at all, I have to go into the options area and back out to get it to work again. Fishing is easy I really like to fish and great way of making money. I find I have to mainly do grass seed for my planting otherwise I can't make enough fodder for my animals and I only have 6 animals. The feeding bins don't work at all in the game. I filled the bins completely up one day and next day all bins were empty even though I only had 3 chickens and the chickens were still hungry. So I wasted my fodder putting them in the bins. UPDATE: I can't get animal poop from pigs only thing I get so far is fertilizer. I need the animal poop to make upgrades on utility belt and some other things to make rubber. Read more

I received this game for Christmas and absolutely love it! Life in Willowdale perfectly balances the pacing of Animal Crossing with the activity variety of Stardew Valley. Read more
I picked this up on sale, looking for some fun games for my daughter (who loves Story of Seasons games). I expected this to be on the lower budget side of things, but there are some bizarre game design choices that really soured the first hour or so of gameplay. 1. The back of the box shows the game is 1-2 players, but there is no indication of how to do that in the early parts of the game. After some googling, it looks like co-op unlocks after a certain quest and talking to the Mayor. 2. Littered around the map are treasure chests full of all sorts of gems, but they sell for barely anything (like 15-80 coins). That wouldn't be an issue if it seemed like costs for things were equivalent, but stuff is crazy expensive. My daughter really wanted to buy an Alpaca, but they cost 10,000 coins. I can understand having to work for a bit to earn money to get an animal, but that seems excessive to the point of padding the game's playtime. 3. The controls are rather unintuitive. When you are moving things around in the inventory, you press Square (PS) to pick-up an item to move, then X to put it down. When trying to move things between the storage and bag, there does not seem to be a way to just transfer an item over. You have to pick it up, move it manually over several spaces to the next section, then put it down. This was painful for just a few items at the beginning of the game, I can't imagine later in the game when there are tons of things to move around. Along with some questions about game design, there are also some bugs/flaws that hurt the gameplay a lot. When switching tools (L1/R1) there is a noticeable lag, so you can't just switch tools to clean up the farm easily. When using tools, the highlighted square on the ground is not always where your character will be taking action. Depending on the character's orientation, you could be tilling, mining, etc a different tile. This made the game feel really unpolished, especially when the game confuses you saying you can't destroy something because your tool isn't upgraded, but the highlighted square is on something you know you can destroy. I feel the game could be good after some polish in a patch, maybe a balance update as well. Read more
