Alright game
I have just started it but this is not that bad of a game. By reading the reviews I thought the graphics were going to be horrible but that is not the case. Read more

This game is clunky, it feels gameplay-wise like playing a PS2 game with maybe at most PS3 graphics. The controls are horrible and the game is glitchy and just overall terrible. I had seen bad reviews but wanted to give it a chance because of my love of the Tolkien world. I don't think I'll have the patience to slowly sludge through this game. The developers should be ashamed for making such a poorly executed game of this expectation. Read more
I'm a little surprised to see the overall 4.0 rating this game has on here. If you're a gamer, you've likely heard bad things about it elsewhere. I'm glad I gave it a chance. Smeagol/Gollum does look and sound ridiculous, and there is a bit of glitchiness, although not enough to ruin the game for me (I believe some of the glitchiness early players experienced was fixed). I didn't feel like the game got off to a great start, and I was really not enjoying it much for a while, but I found that it definitely improved as it went on. The story in later chapters isn't bad, and it's a visually beautiful game later in the game. I quite enjoyed exploring the environment at times. I would give it a 3.5 if half-stars were possible. Could the game have been better? Certainly, yes. But was it worth experiencing? Also yes, in my opinion. I say make up your own mind. Read more
Okay, this is probably not a five star game, but since it’s so popular to bash this game and give it low ratings, I wanted a review to offset that. Yes, there are glitches in this game. Yes, there is a LOT of climbing-hence, redundancy-and, yes, that’s repetitive. There is also, underneath that, a really cool storyline with a very unusual protagonist. I actually loved this game (and, I was very apprehensive after all the horrific reviews). I would probably replay it after it gets patched. I’m not sure what elicited the venom that this game received, but, imo, it’s not deserved. Most of what I play is open world games, and, while this certainly not AC or Horizon, this game has a ton of charm. Read more
I think the negative reviews this game has gotten is a little unfair. I’m a HUGE Tolkien fan and very much enjoyed this game. The story line was good and the capability of playing the Gollum character was very refreshing. The Graphics aren’t perfect and definitely could have been polished better. The game also crashed on me in the 4th chapter and I lost my save position, frustrated but undaunted I started from the beginning and played flawlessly to the end. If your a true Tolkien fan you will still appreciate this game. 👍 Read more
Very boring! I thought I would give this one a try because I played middle earth a million times and enjoyed the shadow of war. This game is nothing compared to the middle earth games and seems to just drag on. I forgot gollum is not a close combat fighter so all fight scenes he has to stealth kill. It’s very boring but it does explain the lord of rings story a bit more. Read more
