The Go Anywhere Magsafe Mount
So I have had this product for a little while now and I have tried attaching it to pretty much everything. My car, stuff in my bedroom and office at work and so on. And yeah besides textured surfaces like stucco walls or certain parts of your vehicle this thing pretty much does stick to almost everything and the sticky substance that they use is pretty good. The magnet for the charging section is actually pretty strong and it holds up very well. The neck also feels firm and definitely doesn't go anywhere. When you set it in a position it pretty much stays there unless you hit a pretty hard bump in your vehicle or you move it on your own. It charges at a pretty standard rate of about 15 watts or at least that's what I've noticed so don't expect the new Qi2 charging on this thing but if you're looking for something that you can take pretty much anywhere that you want to slap on any surface while you're doing something, this will be a really good option. Now versus other products such as Anker and AOHI and BASEUS and so on, how does it fair? Truth be told it's no better or worse than any of their other products. I can definitely recommend it as it has not let me down but also unless you're like brand oil and you're looking for a new product I would say these guys are pretty darn good! It uses type c which is pretty much universal and as long as you have a cable that is sturdy or very good use in your vehicle then this product should not let you down in any way. The neck piece can go not only up and down but can swivel so you can basically put it in almost any direction you need to including upside down if you say attach it to your windscreen. Plus if you do end up using it as a travel anywhere thing and don't have access to your typical vehicular 12 volt plug or even a wall plug, you can use a power bank as well to power this product! Which I think is really cool. It adds the suction ability which is that little twisty part you see on it to give a little extra ump to make sure that not only is it vacuumly attached but also extra sticky as well. The good news is as well if you have a surface that you're not 100% sure about it does come with a extra flat accessory that you can stick so that way you don't actually ruin the material of your vehicle. That being said however I do recommend not leaving this in your car during the summer as because the sticky part is made out of a mix of silicon/rubber and something of the like it will potentially cause it to melt which is pretty much the only downside I've seen. In fact it is actually so sticky that when I first mounted it to my desk (which by the way is already well over 10 to 15 years old and showing its age) actually ripped off some of the fake wood laminate because it stuck so tightly so if you're looking for something that is going to attach to something and not let go.... This thing is a good option. I have no real complaints if I'm going to be honest I've been using it pretty much day to day and even when I don't need it to charge I can just use this as a pretty much stick anywhere mag safe mount. So don't think that you need to use the wireless charging all the time. And as you can also finally see in the images it does collapse down to about something smaller than a Rubik's cube which is not too bad especially if you just need to stick it somewhere in a small bag or a purse or something similar. And if you're worried about it sticking to things, usually when you unstick it you can give it a small wash with some warm water in a sink and it should clean off most of the issues and allow it to stick right to a new surface. Remember you got to make sure the surface is as smooth and as flat as possible. Also if you see in the pictures there's a little white piece of laminated paper that can be potentially reused to stick to the bottom of the surface that way you can keep it somewhere without having to reuse the sticky part over and over again. Makes it really good for travel! All in all a very good product and something I would definitely recommend if you're looking to have something that's relatively versatile!
