I looked long and hard for the "right" wind-proof and totally dry rain jacket. This one met all my search criteria at a great price. There are NO extra "bells & whistles". just a great garment with sturdy fabric, well-taped seams, functional zippered pockets with weather seals and an attached hood. I am 5'11", 180 lb, with a 44" chest and the size Large is a good fit with adequate room for layering a base layer undershirt, flannel outer shirt and sweater. I used this for the first time during a Canadian fishing trip and ended up wearing it most days due to frequent rains. The jacket kept me dry and comfortable armpit vents were effective. The hood was just right even kept the bill of my ball cap dry. Ample arm length and solid adjustable wrist cuffs, my only issue was tightness in the chest and shoulders when being worn over a sweatshirt. Size XXL. I would consider going up. I am thoroughly impressed. The material is heavier than I thought it would be. It is soft feeling. The seem tape looks beautiful and complete. The fit is perfect. I'm 6 ft 185 lbs. If you've done some shopping for rain jackets, you'll notice that this one is far from the most expensive out there. In fact, I was slightly concerned that its price might be too low for a coat of good quality. In fact, though, it's a superior product and a superb value. I wore mine for a cold, rainy week of hiking in Iceland and stayed warm and dry while others were having soak-through. Construction is good and the coat looks nice. I bought this rain jacket and rain pants which are my first time buying Little Donkey products and I'm highly impressed! They are high quality, well designed, and comfortable. The hood and waist hem both have stretchable corded drawstrings with infinitely adjustable stops. There are two long zippers on either side of the chest for pockets and two long zippers under the arms for ventilation or access to a jacket if you're wearing one underneath. Inside on the left side is a zippered pocket measuring 8x4 inches (20x10cm). The sleeves have velcro tabs to adjust the fit at the wrists. Check out the photos for the workmanship and design attributes. The zippers for the jacket opening and pockets have a "hood" that covers the zipper while closed while allowing easy access to the pull for opening. The interior seam photos show the impressive attention to detail and the circular treatments where seams intersect. All materials are high quality as is the finished product. I am 6' (183cm) tall and 185# (84kg) and this jacket fits well with room for a light sweatshirt underneath. We get 80" (203cm)of rain a year here in the mountains of Colombia and this along with the matching pants keep me dry with no leakage. Very happy with this purchase! Read more

I've owned and owned a lot of jackets I love jackets. I saw good reviews on this and the prices definitely fair. I hate spending $150 on a jacket even though I've done it many times. This is a solid jacket. Especially for having cinches in every place you need them including neck hood and waist. I bought this because I don't buy jackets unless they have pit zips and this does but it's exceeded my expectations with the quality. I literally just got this jacket dropped off 10 minutes ago so I haven't put it in the rain yet but obviously you can tell it's going to be waterproof with seamed seals on the inside and seamed zipper pockets.
