I have a multi-monitor, multi-laptop setup. Both laptops are kept closed as much as possible. For video calls, I was pulling one of the laptops out of its tucked-away location to use its camera, and found this cumbersome early on in the 2020 pandemic. Unfortunately, I was late to the game and all of the Logitech cams sold out quickly. I like the Logitech brand, I've been using their multi-device keyboards and mice for years with no issues related to the devices themselves (just older laptop issues). This camera is better in quality than my older 2012 MacBook Pro (which is my personal laptop). The one on my 2018 MacBook Pro (for work) is probably slightly nicer, but I still prefer to have the camera be external. The picture is a really great value for the money, it works in moderate to low light better than expected, so if you don't want to invest in video cam lighting, this is the way to go. Read more

I set up a more robust home office with dual monitors, which made my laptop camera somewhat obsolete (I don't use the laptop screen). I got tired of not looking into the camera when on zoom calls, so I purchased this and popped it on top of my monitor. It's been super easy to use, works well on zoom/teams/skype. The camera and microphone both work well. No issues - solid product at a good price. Read more

This camera is great. I like the somewhat further fixed focus than the US version; opens up the FOV where clarity is regarded. Unfortunately for me, I was trying to find one of these where I could manually adjust the focus for monitoring 3D prints up close, and they've now been fitted with fixed focus rings which break if turned, so if that's your intent, this may not be the thing. Otherwise, it's a fantastic product which I'm sure I'll use for something, LoL. Look out TikTok, here I come I guess. Read more

For only $20 it really is great. It has great picture quality. Better than some of the more expensive ones Ive tried. The only thing that I have issues with is that It doesn’t mount perfectly. My lights were off in this picture and no blings were open so the lighting is great too. You have to go to Logitech website to download to install it on your computer but it took me less than 2 minutes so super easy as well Read more

This is great for the price and exactly what I needed for work from home. The picture is clear, and doesn’t have any weird tint like other webcams I’ve used. I bought a little privacy screen for the lens so that I can fold it over while not in use and it works perfect! Read more

The picture quality is usable but not good. I was hoping for an improvement on my laptop built-in, but it's worse. The dynamic range is shameful in 2020 - if I am not careful with lighting then the entire side of my face with *indirect* window light falling on it is fully blown-out. I haven't seen this sort of pathetic dynamic range for years; for $40 in 2020 I expect more. This is what I'd expect from a no-name $15 camera. Beyond that - the physical, its designed for a screen bezel 20mm wide or more, otherwise it hangs down and obscures your display. I have to mount it with tape or putty to get it to sit higher and not block the screen. Its clamp also is designed for a deep monitor and *barely* manages a steady mount with a modern slim one. Overall, I'd say look elsewhere. I chose Logitech to get a solid product from a name brand etc.. Wish I hadn't, and feel like a sucker. Read more

Like many people, I am now on video calls as I work from home many times a day. When I use my laptop camera, I am hunching over the laptop, and I always look terrible, hunched and poorly lit. This camera does the trick. I mounted it on my home computer monitor so it is up higher, and I can plug it into either my home computer, or my work laptop, and sit up straight during meetings. It also has a built in microphone and people can hear me perfectly. A great find, and much cheaper than some of the models out there, and still great quality. Read more

Cons Field of view a bit narrow when using up close, with a notebook for example. The body also blocks the view of the tabs in the part of the screen where it’s set if the bezels are thin. No support for Logitech Hub (I don’t need it) Professional looking, lightweight camera. The matte finish is much better than the glossy one. To my understanding this is the c505 with another name. Decent image quality and microphone. As long as it keeps on working I don't possibly see the need to change it, which is a good thing. Only real con is its perhaps narrow field of view, but that also makes the image more natural looking. Will upload pictures in the future. Read more
