The expansion mic wire is a very poor design and not so thought over. The wire is straight verse 90degree angles considering the camera the logitech meetup camera will be at a 90degree angle at all points why would they leave the wire straight for it to bend and snap off. Need a replacement ! Read more

Mic is NOT extendable. Beware!

The expansion mic has a built in cable of fairly good length, but it's not long enough for my space. Normally I'd use a USB extender over CAT 6 and route this through a patch panel, but this mic uses proprietary input so I cannot use this method. Logitech support says it's not extendable due to audio degradation, but this is misleading and not necessarily correct. It's simply not extendable because they are using a non standard/non USB input.
