Reliable, Powerful Flame & Easy to Use
These torch lighters work well. The long extended tip helps with lighting candles in deep jars, fireplaces, and grills without getting too close to the flame. The jet flame is strong and windproof, which makes it reliable even outdoors. They feel sturdy in hand, and the safety lock adds peace of mind, especially if you have kids around. Personally, between these and the more common rechargeable electric lighters, I prefer the latter. They're more convenient to use and tuck away. These are a bit larger and awkward to store. These will do the job in a pinch, but there are better alternatives.
One of the units in my pack seemed to be leaking butane. The one that worked did work about how you would expect a torch lighter would. I like these to start campfires or my grill. Having one of them be faulty right of the box gives me durability concerns because they also don't feel the most sturdy. Quality feels rather cheap, in my opinion. The flame was pretty strong, even in windy conditions, so that was good. Adjusting the flame was rather easy. In theory, you get good value out of this because you get 2 lighters in one pack, but I personally like to go for more reputable brands for anything that involves gas/flames. This is one of those things you probably shouldn't cheap out too much because it can be dangerous. But ultimately, if you're in a pinch and need a couple of torch lighters and your budget is tight, these will probably work just fine. Read more
