Major win, in my book! I'll preface by saying that I don't care about fashion or being "cute" or trendy. That being said, what I look for in my clothing is durability, quality, wearability, practicality and comfort. This skirt checks all my boxes! I got it as a replacement for one of my absolute favorite skirts (needing to be replaced, but sadly discontinued on Amazon). I'm a little under 5'4" and this skirt is ankle-length for me. A little longer than the skirt I was trying to replace, but not a problem for me. The fabric weight was perfect. Not to light, not too heavy. A lot of reviewers commented on the weight of the fabric. I disagree with their comments. For me, it's the perfect weight. I like to feel clothed and secure. The drawstring is functional (a must for me) and of a good weight. I'm not worried about it breaking or anything mid-wear. The pockets are a great addition and very functional. Fit was as expected. I got it a little larger than I needed because I need some breathing space. It's perfect. In every respect, for me, it's perfect. I just ordered two more - both in black as that's the color that works best for me (a blue denim one might be in my future, though). Value for the money was decent. It's not crazy expensive and the quality is top-notch. I wish they have a few more color options. Brown would be nice. Or a solid navy (not denim, per se). Regarding whether or not it's flattering, that's very objective. I feel good in it. I may not care about fashion, but I also don't want to look ridiculous. This denim skirt doesn't skimp in any way, and is a great choice for a winter as frigid as this year's because the denim is as heavy and sturdily sewn as Levis and other quality jeans brands, and the midi-length skirt is really long. (It's as long on me as it appears in the photo of the model wearing it (I'm 5" 7+" tall). All the denim shades offered are nice, and the pockets are deep and roomy and well made. Though normally I wear size M, I'm glad I decided to get this skirt in size L because I can't tolerate any tightness around my waist. The fit is perfect, and yet the skirt's gathered waist and generous cut allows plenty of room for wearing lined tights plus extra-long (top-of-thigh-high), pretty thick leg warmers over them. This is an awesome denim skirt. Nice thickness, soft denim material and stretchy enough to allow full freedom of movement. As a guy who prefers skirts, this works exceptionally well to allow me to go on long walks when it is cooler, it dresses up nicely with a nice shirt or dresses down nicely with flip flops. I like the skirt for the most part. It's heavier than I thought it would be, as other reviews mentioned the material being thinner. That made me think it would be more like a chambray (the kinda softer thin denim-like fabric used for Jean shirts) but it's not. It's actual denim. Not the heaviest denim but not light at all. It's a little hot for FL, but I'll use it on cooler days. Fits true to size or just a bit larger. I am 200lbs 5'9" and I would often pick 2x but that was huge. XL was a good fit and it's a flattering aline cut (not too full, not too restricting. The waist band is a little bulky, which is to be expected when there is an elastic waist and heavy material, but wearing your shirt out, it is not too noticeable. 2 pockets are a nice plus. Skirt is long. I'm tall and it falls low, mid calf. On a shorter person it will be a true maxi. I would have preferred slightly shorter and would have just hemmed it but it is, so I said, a bulkier denim (with those typical double stitched Jean seams, so it would make for a folded hem, if hand sewn. You would have to cut fabric to the right length & break out the sewing machine for proper, machine-sewn Jean hem. I was OK leaving long. All in all, a good value, but if you're looking for a lighter skirt, this is not it. Definitely not for a hot summer day here in FL but it is a nice skirt generally and was a good value. Really wanted to love this skirt. I’m 5’2 , 118 lbs and it came almost to the floor. Good material quality, great pockets, and very comfortable. Waist fits great too. The only issue is it’s very wide at the bottom so when you are standing still it looks like a tent. Because the bottom is so wide it is not flattering. Might work better for someone taller. Read more
This skirt is a nice long length. Very comfortable and stretchy. The drawstring helps pull it together. It's A- line shape, so it's not tight. I would buy it again in another color. Read more
