So far so good . . .
I ordered these because the store where I usually buy bulbs never consistently carries the ones I like. I had to re-educate myself regarding light bulbs. I learned that the style I wanted is labeled a "B11," that the base I needed is labeled "E26," that the brightness I desired is a minimum of 500 lumens, and that the energy-saving style I wanted was L.E.D. By typing those 4 labels in Amazon's search box, I finally was looking at the choices I would consider. I prefer frosted glass, but for some reason those were thru-the-roof expensive; so, I settled for looking at clear glass bulbs plus the helpful reviews of verified purchasers. One reviewer complained of consistent flickering, but I'm grateful these bulbs are fine. Another reviewer complained of a broken bulb on delivery, but these are "double-packed" - each bulb is encased in its own sturdy plastic enclosure and box. Reviewer photos were helpful also; so, I decided to give these a go. They are smaller than I'm used to, but look just fine when powered up. I like the 600 lumens brightness and the clear glass looks better than I thought it would (remember, I'm a frosted bulb glass fan). I've only had these a week, but will revise this review if their stated life expectancy doesn't hold up. Some reviewers have complained about this, so "we'll see." Read more
