This little magnetic tripod takes phone stands to the next level. Unlike other stands, including other MagSafe compatible stands that rely on the phone itself to help prop it up, this tripod type stand gets your phone completely off the counter, table or desk, while also raising it up a bit closer to eye level. Because it raises the phone up & off the surface, it makes changing viewing from portrait to landscape, and back again, super simple with just a nudge of your finger. It's a very high quality product - well-designed and very sturdy - with hinges that are nicely firm, providing the assurances needed that one of the hinges won't suddenly loosen and cause your phone to drop. It even comes with a little fold down hook on the back leg to allow for 90° mounting (i.e. from the top of a door or other vertical surface). It's packaged with a small Allen wrench to adjust the tightness of each hinge (best kept in the box to prevent losing it). I really like how it also has threaded holes in multiple locations to attach to a larger tripod, making this tripod super versatile, especially for photographers. This Zelnoox Magnetic Tripod is a little heavier than I expected, but it is very sturdy. It has great magnetic adhesion and doesn't wobble (even in monopod mode). This makes it easy to set your phone on a table and type/text without having to hold the phone tightly (muscle saver). I have been able to position my phone in various ways with this tripod. I've even folded the tripod (in monopod mode) over my recumbent bike's little screen to watch videos while I cycle. It held my phone in place in both landscape and portrait positions. I used to place my phone on a phone holder and carry it with me around the house, but I no longer have to do that. This tripod is small enough not to be cumbersome, yet strong enough to be very functional. I've even been able to put the entire thing in my pocket while still attached to my phone. It is a little heavier than I wanted, but the tradeoff for functionality is worth it. I wish it were made in a way that would allow it to adhere to car phone holders without being removed. Folded, it's a bit too thick to sit in my car's phone cradle, but I can create an arch using the folding ability to hang over the back of the cradle while the cradle holds the bottom sides of my phone. Since I already had a MagSafe plate on the back of my phone, I didn't have to use the one that was included. Read more
