This shibori design pattern immediately drew me to this laptop bag! I’m a bit of a shibori fan, and I love the design and practicality of this laptop bag. The material is good quality and not scratchy, seems like it might be cotton. I tested the zippers and they don’t snag. I love that it has a smaller zipper section in the front and within that smaller compartments. There’s about two separate compartments to store my extension cords, headphones, pens and a small planner. It works well for my 13 inch MacBook and my larger 15 in laptop. If I do add both, I’d add something to separate the two to prevent any damage from the friction. But I’m probably just being extra. 😂 Strap on the back to secure to a luggage handle is a win- win. I would probably add extra padding though, the laptop bag has standard padding, but I want to make sure my laptop doesn’t endure any damage while traveling and would probably add another layer of protection, since this is somewhat thin. I thought my laptop lap board would fit as well since it’s less than 15 inches but the rounded quarters of the bag make it so that my laptop lap board doesn’t fit. Which is a bummer, but the product stitching, is great and no weird chemical smell from the bag. Only thing drawback, I wish the velcro attachment at the top handle was sewn to the handle straps, but I guess if I don’t want to use it, I can just remove it so it doesn’t get lost. Read more

This is a wonderful laptop carrying case - it is almost too good for my purposes, since lately, my laptop gets used almost exclusively at home, so I am not carrying it along with me as often as in the past. But I wanted to replace my old laptop bag because I actually was using an overnight cloth suitcase, as I often had to carry notebooks along with the laptop, and did not want more than one bag to carry. So while this bag is not a whole lot smaller, it is much less wide, making it more appropriate for my needs now. The bag itself is listed as measuring 16 by 10 inches. It actually measures closer to 16 1/2 by 11 inches, so it is still has a good amount of space. I put my 15 inch laptop into it, so you can see how much space there still is. There is also a good sized zippered pocket in the front that you can almost fit a hard back book into. The zippers all work well. The bag itself has a decent amount of padding to it. The light colored interior (at least in this particular fabric pattern) make it easy to locate things inside. The handles come with a velcro matching fabric strap you can wrap around them to hold them together and to make things a bit more comfortable to carry, if you want to use it. You may not want to use it however, as the strap itself is not attached directly to either handle, but is loose instead, so it would be easy to loose it, or forget about it in a rush if you were not thinking about it. I am thinking maybe the intention is to have you keep it velcroed closed to one handle all the time, and only open it up to attach it to both handles when you want to actually carry the bag somewhere. A funny story here. I bought some Maison d'Hermine kitchen towels a year ago and while they were beautiful in design, they repelled water making them worthless to dry dishes with. So, when I saw that Maison d'Hermine had a laptop bag I thought, "Yay! It will be water resistant!!" LOL The product pictures don't do this bag justice. It is WONDERFUL!! I got the color called "Blossom in Spring" and it's so much better in person. The tree blossoms are a vivid coral and coral/pink. The background is a dusty mint. The combo of coral and mint makes this bag pop! Then there are stripes on the sides that pick up the bag's colors especially as seen in the butterflies. The handles are their own pattern, so you get a lovely interplay of patterns and complimenting colors. With my laptop in it, there is weight to the entire bag, and the cotton canvas exterior has a cushy padding making it a lovely item to have on your lap. You know those weighted blankets or weighted stuffed animals? It's sort of like that. You could be in a stressful meeting and have this weighted smooth bag on your lap, run your hands over it and feel peace. There is one side pocket, and it is well padded. I can easily get my charger cord with big rectangular battery in it. The interior big pouch is good for my laptop and a couple of folders. There is a leather oval with the company name. I keep my laptop in the dining room, so this beautifully designed bag hides the computer and looks like art. Very, very happy with this bag! Read more
