Tighten this carefully and it will be very sturdy. I have had no issues with it. Super easy to put together. Read more

Sweet deal if you're into saving money AND you have some mechanical skill

GregFebruary 26, 2020

Build quality is quite good. The stand itself is kind of primitive but what you'd expect for the price. Assembly was more difficult than it should have been which is why I can't give it a full 5/5. The instructions that came with it are almost useless and a few of the bolts were the wrong length and size. I couldn't install the platform for the stick shift because the included bolts were either wrong or the holes were too small to accept them. I don't have a stick and didn't bother with it, but I suppose they could be drilled out. I bought a seat out of a '05 Scion and built a simple box out of scrap lumber. The wheel stand was easy to set up on the box with just a few extra bits of hardware. Read more

$100 for wrong bolts and fused pieces

MCNYJuly 5, 2021

Looked good at first but about five minutes into putting it together, I noticed they included two short bolts and one long one instead of two of each. Already this product wasn’t possible to assemble, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried to put it together with the mismatched bolts. Before I was even able to get to that point though, one of the adjustable arms was completely bound up inside of the pole it slides through. Couldn’t even get past step two of the instructions before the terrible craftsmanship made it impossible to continue. Absolutely not worth the $100 price tag. Read more

Great for the price! Easy to assemble

Product was simple to assemble and arrived on time. I hesitated after reading all the reviews complaining about assembly and crappy directions. While I would agree the directions are garbage the assembly took less than 40 minutes. Read more

SOLID VALUE (albeit slightly wobbly)

BillJanuary 23, 2021

The media could not be loaded. Got this for my G29 ... As others say you’ll need to do a bit of figuring out, so be prepared to problem-solve a little. Mine came with all the hardware it needed, PLUS bolts for the G29 (which did not itself include any!) so this was a super welcome surprise. For a while I was convinced that the upright arms were incorrectly-measured for fitting to the upper part where your wheel bolts on... after loosening parts and wiggling things around it all came together (snugly). Although the frame is good material the whole thing will wobble around a bit when you’re racing, so don’t expect it to feel perfectly firm. I expect with some work I might come up with a way to shore it up, and if I created a large base then it could be fixed more solidly, but honestly it hasn’t been a big enough issue to bother. Overall I’ve been very happy with it, especially for the cost of $110-120 ish that I think I payed. The cost of the G29 wheel plus this was already quite the outlay, so I liked the value. I use it every single day (unlocking daily car in GT:Sport and drifting through snowy mountain roads in DIRT:Rally) and the investment has been paying off in ridiculous PSVR immersion that kinda has no parallel. Great value! [ 1 year later EDIT: This stand has held up perfectly well and I have no complaints. Yesterday I came up with a solution to the wobbliness, so I’ve included a little video to show you how to strengthen the whole thing without the need for any welding. ] Read more

Stable and Functional with Simple DIY Improvement

User26April 27, 2022

After 5 days of use, I really like this stand. It was very simple to put together, it is very functional, and it appears to be made to high standards. It may have taken me about 10 minutes to put the stand together and perhaps another 5 minutes to apply the extra stability strap (shout out to Bill for the idea!). The stand is very adjustable, but once it is in place it is extremely stable. I did not install the mount for a shifter, but I do plan on purchasing one in the future. I will update if anything changes, but as of now I would highly recommend this stand to anyone. Read more

Good Once Assembled

Renlady_86March 3, 2019

There is credit to be given for a product that is low-priced and solidly made. That's not a small deal. And coming in at nearly half the cost of similar products on Amazon and elsewhere, this steering wheel stand deserves a lot of credit, particularly since it is remarkably solid and comfortable. The stand is heavy and stable with the wheel attached. The telescoping wheel stand accepted the G29 without issue and included screws and pre-drilled holes ensured that the only give on the wheel or the pedals was that of the telescoping feature, which itself only moved when the hand screws were out. It was easy for a 5'3 wife to switch with her 6'4 husband, both of us finding the height and distance between the pedals and the wheel to be comfortable, even on a low couch. A few strips of included velcro wrapping did the job keeping cables out of the way. Despite its weight, the stand is light enough to move when folded up and does in fact fold up small enough to fit into a closet. I noticed folded it was even somewhat smaller than an all in one Thrustmaster unit already sitting in our closet. It is a touch too big to perhaps be a something you can quickly set up for a few minutes of racing and then put away, a problem exacerbated by the fact that the act of folding it up involved two very long screws, though thankfully no tools are required. Getting it ready takes perhaps 5-10 minutes of tedious placement and assembly. Easy assembly, but tedious. What was not easy was the overall assembly process. The instructions were not particularly instructive, coming across more like puzzle hints. The images might say one thing, for example the left arm will have the top side brace facing in, while the actual assembled product has them facing out. You might think you're missing a screw only to find that it was already placed in a different spot out of the box. To be fair, despite initial appearances, I was not missing any pieces. But for a product with relatively few pieces the assembly was far more difficult than it needed to be, not something to be undertaken by someone with patience issues or an inability to see how things might fit together. An IKEA cabinet this ain't. Other problems become obvious shortly after assembly. For example, the steering wheel attachment point is clearly designed to allow the angle to be adjusted. However doing so requires two of the three included wrenches and looks to be a fussy enough process that unless you really want those few degrees of up/down adjustment it's simply easier to put the thing all the way down and leave it. There's the aforementioned tedium in getting it folded and unfolded. There's the fact that the gear lever plate attaches halfway down the telescoping arms, limiting how close the wheel can get to the pedals. And lastly I was hoping that the whole stand would be useful for more than just the listed steering wheels, such as perhaps as an adjustable laptop desk or at least allow other simulator accessories like a joystick or a yoke. No. The stand won't even work for our old (but functional) Driving Force GT. This is a stand for the listed wheels. No more, no less. Bluntly there are better stands you can purchase, even if you need it to be something that can be easily put away. You should go buy one of those. But if your credit card is still steaming from the $400 steering wheel you need the stand for, this will get the job done. Just be ready for the things you might not get in return. Read more
