I searched for these on Amazon as we have had all our downstairs refloored with new vinyl plank flooring. I was concerned that my desk chair rollers would mar the floor. I found 2 of these together and purchased the 2 pack as I will also need one for the chair on rollers in my sewing studio-so it was more economical for me. I also liked that these were shipped flat instead of rolled up. I had read reviews that complained about how long they took to flatten up after being removed from the tubular package. This was perfect for me, is a little opaque but you can see the details of the flooring underneath, and they were functional right out of the box-no odor that some had described from those who purchased other chair mats. I bought this to put under my computer chair and because I have hardwood floors. First, these mats are very small for an office chair. This is my fault for thinking the measurements would work when they clearly don't. I can't slide around my desk without falling off the mat. I will take responsibility for this though as I should have considered the measurements a little more before purchase. What I did not know and did not predict is how slippery these mats are. I have nearly fallen several times when stepping on the mat. The mat does not stick to my floors at all. In fact, it is so bad that when I use my feet to push my chair out, the chair goes back and the mat slides forward. This mat does not stick to the floor at all. Unfortunately to ship these mats back would cost me more than it is worth and I am out about $75.00. Do not buy these mats. If you need to protect hardwood floors, look at buying roller blade wheels for your office chair. Not only are they cheaper, but you won't slip and fall or have your chair fall of a cheap mat constantly. Read more

I was excited about this chair mat, as I've been using one at work that was intended for carpet. The nubs on the underneath had led to damage on the floor and cracking on the existing mat, so I was anxious to use this. However, the first time that I put it down on the floor when my chair wasn't on it, it spilled me on the floor like I was slipping on ice. Now we're not comfortable using it, as my chair might roll off of it, leading to a broken bone or worse. I'm not quite sure how this is intended to stay put on a hard/hardwood floor, but it is slicker than sn0t, and now I'm tasked with finding something to anchor this mat in order to use it. The mat came as promised and very quickly. It was rolled up as they said but I opened it up and it immediately laid flat with no creases or curling. It is a larger mat so it came rolled up as they said it would and I had no problem with it at all. I was expecting to have to put it in the sun as I read reviews that said it was hard to lay flat. I never had that problem and we have 8 inch wood floors. Although it didn't appear that it would slid at all on our floors which are coated the 25" lip fit perfectly so that I could slid just a fraction of it under the actual desk to insure it wouldn't move.
