Marware Vibe Case for iPad mini with Stand - Purple AIVB1Y

I ordered this case as I have had a couple in the past in different colors and loved them. The interior of the case (the part that lays on the face of the iPad) starts to deteriorate and crumble after about two years, but I would expect that for the cheap price. It's been fun having the case in two colors. I ordered my third case and it arrived already deteriorated and crumbling. It has even rubbed off on the cardboard insert that it closes on. After looking through countless video reviews about many different cases. I came across Marware. The vibe case caught my eye for many different reasons. One it is a simple but yet slim and a stylish case. Two it has the sleep awake feature and no problems in my end, the case works perfectly with that function. Three, the case has an "X" shaped spine that holds the iPad mini itself, on the left side there is a button that pins it in place. To set the mini in its many viewing angles, simply unpin the button and set your iPad to any view angle you like. After setting your iPad on your ideal angle viewing, it is very strong and sturdy and will not slip even when typing. When you close the case its like a note book and it has a strap that wraps around to make sure the case doesn't open in your book bag. Overall this case is amazing. Good quality, great protection, sleep awake feature, and fair price. Only downside though is there is strong smell from the case. It reminds me of shoe polish. It is a good product. However, after some weeks of use, the stand has stopped working properly. In use, the stand slides down. I think a rougher surface should have been used as the base of the stand to provide some friction. It protects my ipad well and despite several falls, my ipad has no screen crack or scratch. A good point is the edges of the screen are free to swipe with ease unlike my former ipad min case. Read more

Pros: I have tried at least 7 different cases for my Ipad mini and this case by far is the best in terms of functionality. It has a great grasp on my Ipad which feels very secure and protected. The Smart cover works as it is supposed to and consistently, putting my Ipad to sleep when I close it, every time (another thing I had trouble finding in the other cases). Cons: The colors are SO OFF! The pictures depict them to be bright vibrant colors but instead they are very dull. I ordered the blue one and what I got was a dull teal color. Disappointed. 15 months later and all 4 clips are broken rendering the case useless. No damage - the clips just started breaking off a little piece of plastic at a time. The iPad stays home. No travel or rough treatment. Waste of money. Read more

I did a lot of shopping around, watched many YouTube videos, and even bought three cases for my iPad Mini till I finally was fully satisfied without feeling like I was settling. My requirements were as follows: 1. Price - I always feel better when I know I didn't have to spend a fortune to get a good product. This case was under $20. 2. Weight - The reason I waited for Apple to make a smaller version of their iPad was because I wanted a tablet that's light enough to hold for long periods of time. Putting a heavy case on my device would defeat the purpose of getting a lightweight tablet. This case is extremely light. 3. Form Factor - I read a lot of books for hours at a time. I need a case that can be held book style from either hand. The Vibe Case works very well. It also has an elastic band that holds the cover from flapping when it is folded to the back. The band works as well at keeping the case closed when my device is thrown into my bag. Watching videos is enjoyable when the case is positioned on Landscape mode, and the back of the iPad is always kept covered. There are several angles that you are able to place your device, depending on your preference, all very stable even when resting on your lap. 4. Aesthetics - We don't buy Apple products only because they just work. Apple products look good too! It's important to me that while my device is protected, I can still fully appreciate its beauty. The iPad Mini snaps into the Vibe Case on all four corners tight and secure. That's it. No obstructions at all. The outside is leather-like and there is a vertical grain on the front. I had a Marware case for our Kindle and was very happy with it. For the new iPad Mini I wanted something functional that would work well but at a reasonable cost. This case had all 5 star reviews so I decided to buy it. Let me start by saying that I am not hard on my tablets. They are used at home and only go out for long trips. So I was not looking for the level of protection that others need. The Mini snapped right in and the case added almost no weight to the Mini. I can still use the camera and I can charge the Mini while in the case. The sleep/wake functionality is great too. I peeked to make sure it worked. I like the way the stand works on this. I also like having the strap. It looks good and is easy to hold. Plus the price is very good and much less than it sells for in a retail store. When I bought my Mini I saw this cover in the store it was priced at the exact price that Amazon listed as the suggested retail price. Read more
