I got this to use at work; as a courier driver, we use a route app on iPad, and I'd gone through a number of suction mounts which only loose their grip after so long. This device isn't bad at all. The spring-loaded expanding grip holds either my phone or iPad securely, it's very easy to use and install, fitting snugly into the cup holder, and the material is sturdy and durable. You can adjust the height via a twist lock on the back. I set mine as high as it allows, and there's still just enough space beneath it to place a 20 oz soda bottle in the cup holder. My one and only gripe is that it swivels easily, and you can't lock it to prevent swiveling. As a route driver in a rural area, I spend a lot of time on twisty, winding roads, and I often have to reach over and turn my iPad back to face me because too sharp a turn and it swivels away. That can get annoying at times. Incidentally, I'd rate this 4 1/2 if it were an option. The swivel isn't big enough of an issue to detract a full star, but it's just enough of an annoyance to prevent me from giving it five. Read more
Great for 10” iPad! I play PokemonGo on my iPad and a lot of times I’m darting from gym to gym a few blocks apart between them. I always have to pick up my iPad, battle in a gym, then put my iPad in the passenger seat quickly so I can dart off to the next gym, but safely so that it doesn’t fall off the seat or get scratched by the metal buckles in my purse or bag. It always feels so precarious and a bit dangerous to me, especially if the iPad slips and starts to fall off the seat. This iPad stand is a fantastic find for this! I love it! It fits easily in the cup holder in my Tesla (or in any car with built in cup holders), and is sturdy enough to hold my iPad steady even while I’m driving. It has louvers or wings that you can adjust to make it fit the width of your cup holder and make it tight and sturdy so it doesn’t rock about. The iPad part swivels and adjusts as needed so the screen can swing out of your way while driving and back into your vision when you need to use it. The clamping arms are strong and hold my iPad still and tight without fear of it falling. I can even adjust it so I can fit a venti drink in the other cup holder.
