I've owned other high end sunglasses but this is my first time trying Maui Jim's & I'm impressed. The polarization of these glasses blows any other pair I've ever tried away. They do a great job of blocking glare & the clairity is outstanding. These will be great for fishing. The lenses themselves are pretty resistant to scratches as well, my kids have knocked them around or they've wound up face down on the table & they still look brand new! The frames are very durable. They are lightweight & the spring hinges are a real game changer for me. I have a big head & these stretch nicely so I don't have to worry about them getting all bent out of shape from overextending them but they also don't pinch or feel too tight with prolonged wear. The only part I don't love is the bridge of the nose. I think it's a little small or something so I can't push them back all the way & they tend to slip down so I have to adjust these far more frequently than I'd like to. Read more

I got the Maui Jim Mamalu Bay Rectangular Sunglasses in Gloss Black/Neutral Grey Polarized. These come with a polishing cloth and a fold-down case. They are Rx-able. These sunglasses are comfortable to wear. I like little touches like the embedded nose pads, instead of having a completely plastic bridge. Even though the sides are thin, they're sturdy, with nice, springy hinges. The sight through these sunglasses is clear and I like that they come with polarized lenses. Since the arms are thin, these aren't my favorite sunglasses in bright sunlight. Lots of light leaks around the edges. But in anything but the brightest part of the day, they're pretty good. The media could not be loaded. I'm new to Maui Jim sunglasses and I'm thrilled with the product now that I have it in my hands and get to use it. The frame style and size is perfect for my face, from my perspective. The performance of the sunglasses is beyond my expectation. Taking them out in the sun for the first time surprise me a little bit at the difference between these and the much cheaper sunglasses I've been using. Whether or not the price difference is worth it, depends on your need and your desire for such a high quality pair of sunglasses! Shape: Oversized rectangular Face shape: The sunglasses will work best for medium to large face shapes, particularly those with rounded or oval profiles. Quality: These sunglasses are very well made, and premium materials are used throughout. Lense: Very thin, polarized, glass lenses. Outdoor environment: The tint of the lenses make these sunglasses perfect for everything but direct sunlight. For direct sunlight, I'd recommend a bit more tint. Polarization: Clarity is very good with the lenses in these sunglasses. Overall: These sunglasses carry a premium price point, and the materials used certainly justify that premium in my opinion. I love the shape, and overall profile of these sunglasses. I feel the polarization is very well done, and adds excellent clarity. Field of vision is exceptionally wide.
