Great alternative to Samsung filter
I was hesitant to try an OEM replacement filter after reading negative reviews on other models. Additionally, my Brother-in-law had a negative experience with a different brand which resulted in $300 of refrigerator damage. I did quite a bit of research and the maxblue cartridge combined the best combination of quality, capability and price. I'm glad that I gave this brand a try - the installation was easy and there have been no leaks. This cartridge cost a fraction of the Samsung cartridge and the Maxblue cartridge is a better filter than what my Samsung came with (DA29-00020A) - just an NSF 42 filter whereas the Maxblue is also an NSF 53 which has half the pore size for better filtration. Also, the flow rate actually seems a little stronger than my old filter (old filter may have gotten clogged slightly over time reducing flow somewhat) Installation Note from my experience: I turned my old filter about 1/4 turn and it popped out, but I was unable to remove it. I actually had to turn it another 1/4 turn (total: 1/2 turn) to remove it. Installation was the same. Note the direction of the handle and the turn distance.
