I have purchased this product for decades, and can no longer find it in stores. I believe they have discontinued it, but there is obviously some stock still out there, as I've been able to get it through Amazon. The Velvet Black goes on more subtly that a sharp black color, and doesn't need any blending. the pencil is very soft, so it does not scratch your eye. It no longer seems to come with the built-in sharpener that was very nice to have. I don't know why the cosmetic industry continually phases out the products people love, other than that they hope to get you to buy 10 other products trying to find one like it. I've asked at stores, and they don't have a comparable product. The others' they have suggested go on very dark, looking very obvious and unnatural. I would love this to be brought back, but in the mean time, it is the best eyeliner I had found. Read more
