I bought 3, one for the office and 2 for home and they are a game changer. Ever have your laptop show an overheating error message and then shutdown? Laptops have fans, typically one underneath and 2 on the top of the unit and they need to be able to circulate air to keep the laptop cool. Simply setting your laptop on a desk or your lap won't accomplish that, you need to lift it up off the surface and that's where the laptop stand comes in.
