I have a collection of other scales but I carry all my weight in front and was having difficulty looking down to see the numbers on the scale or standing still long enough to have the numbers lock in; got this one as a replacement. First time in a long time was actually able to weigh myself and see in real-time the numbers and not do a guesstimate based on the numbers I could see on another scale. Makes keeping track of everything a whole lot easier--display is large and easy to read The option to use a wall plug or batteries is nice; I've been using the wall plug, but just unplug it when not in use. I love this scale, put some batteries in it and you have an easy-to-read screen at head height. It has a spiral cord to the base, and in my case, it is easy to move/slide the base with my foot when I need to close the bathroom door. Don't forget to turn it off when you are finished.
