I'm going to add a caveat to the headline, because I've only had it two days. I placed this in the bedroom, because my kitties spend most of their time in there. I slept better the last two nights, not so much coughing. I imagine that the longer the filter works, the better the air quality will be. I purchased Medify airx with HEPA 13, I smoke and nothing else has worked, it covers 470 ft, it returns air quality once every hour, and it truly does, odors are gone, it traps per dander, allergens, smoke from cigarettes/Wildfire, CADR 120 excellent the cost is unbelievable at $50, the filters go 2500 hrs or about 3-4 months (soft brush attachment vacuum extends to easily 6mths) are $30, with discounts from Amazon offered and Medify has discounts and deals as well. True HEPA filter you can trust authentic, I'll pay it I don't care, it's hands down Worth buying, it says what it means and means what it says, even buying 2 at $100 for bigger room space, is more cost effective than more expensive brands that don't deliver on promises, I will be buying another one next month, I have only the BEST things to say about this company. I am a teacher and have been assigned to work in a 200 sq. ft. dusty old bookroom that smelled like dust and mildewed books. I cleaned the shelves of half of the room, put the Medify MA-14 in place on the high setting, then left the room. When I came back in, an hour later, the difference was obvious. The machine seemed to be scrubbing the air. I have allergies so I know the machine has some impact. Every morning, I turn the unit on high for about 15 minutes, then leave it on the lowest setting the remainder of the day. After a month of use, the air is pristine, with no smell or feel of dust in the air. An older cleaning lady smelled the air in my room, then asked me to order her a unit at once. The only reason I did not give the item five stars is because I have not seen the unit perform over a reasonable time span. I will update in a month. Read more

I am SO pleased and impressed with this purifier unit so far. We have a room in our basement (roughly 13' X 18') that I have sort of claimed as my "boy's room" - which really just means that I store a gaming computer, large screen TV, and hi-fi stereo and shelves full of books and more books and then some more books. Moisture is a constant problem, and in turn, so is mold/mildew. Prior to installing this air purifier, I would notice an immediate allergy-induced reaction upon entering the room. An itching/irritation in my throat, sneezing, congestion, irritated eyes, and an unpleasant taste on my tongue. It was not pleasant to spend any period of time down there. But, things are different now! With this machine running for the last few weeks? I have had no allergic reactions to speak of. And, the room now has a pleasant, "fresh" smell to it upon entry. No longer do I deal with that dank, yucky smell that would remind you of camping in a cave after a monsoon season has just ended. I would highly recommend this product. Read more

A fantastic air purifier and super fast delivery! I purchased this item on Monday, and it was at my doorstep as promised by Wednesday. It only took about 3 minutes to take the unit out of the box and set it up. Even though it’s only been installed for a few days, I can already tell the difference in my home’s air quality. When I walk in from outside the air seems fresher and less stale, and even the pet smells are gone (I have two dogs). I first placed the air purifier in the kitchen when I was cooking, and it made the smell quickly disappear. Later that night, I brought it up to my bedroom and ran it there while I slept. I’m a light sleeper, and the ambient light from some of my other devices can be distracting, so I was a real fan of the ’night’ feature that turns off all the glowing blue lights. If someone is looking for an air purifier, that’s large enough to get the job done yet small and elegant enough to fit in anywhere, I would highly recommend the Medify MA-14 Medical Grade True HEPA Air Purifier!! Seems to work well with one notable exception. It does filter air well, and I've noticed a lot less particulate matter floating in the air in my bedroom where this is installed. My complaint is that the fan blade seems to be out of balance, which causes a noticeable vibration, which I can feel, particularly at level 2 & level 3. The decibel levels at S, 1 & 2 are low and aren't loud enough to keep you awake. Level 3 (high) is too loud to allow for sleep, unless you have a 'white noise' generator going to mask it. I'm afraid that the fan vibrations will cause an early bearing failure. It supposedly has a lifetime warranty, so I'll see if I can get any satisfaction from the "Family" manufacturer. EDIT: After I posted the original review. the owner got in touch with me and provided me with a new unit, which does NOT vibrate as the original did. I was pleased that he allowed me to keep the original unit instead of having to ship it back. Not only is this a great air purifier, but its a GREAT COMPANY. Such great customer service is VERY hard to come by. I thoroughly recommend this unit and Medify. Read more
