The media could not be loaded. This MelodySusie 2 in 1 Nail Tool Cleaning Machine (sonic cleaner) is super compact and honestly cleaned more than I expected, given its tiny footprint. The exterior is smooth plastic, and the lid opens easily without making me worry that it will spring open mid-clean. Not knowing where to start, I threw some VERY dirty old coins and bits of metal in the bin with some tap water and let it rip. My father dug these things up while metal detecting in our back yard, and I can say that I didn’t expect anything short of a wire brush to start pulling the dirt and patina off. One cycle in the cleaner made a good start on this batch, but the small capacity means that you can’t clean many things at once, even if they are small. I think the water became saturated with dirt, and wasn’t able to accept any more off the coins. Next go-round, I’ll put just two or three coins in and see how things go. Overall, the small footprint and limited capacity make this a novelty item. However, with its low-moderate noise level, and potential to clean things like our retainers and other small items, this may end up getting more use than expected. Video of my dirty coins experiment included, judge the results for yourself, but I’d probably stick to something more powerful or just plain scrubbing for stuff that’s super dirty. I use the following rating scale: 5* I love it - it's great, and somehow beyond expectations 4* I like it - item as described with no major faults 3* It's okay - functional but some negatives that worsen or degrade the experience 2* I don't like it - it could be better and I definitely would not buy it again 1* I hate it - VERY rarely used.
