Best belt ever Read more
This men’s ratchet belt looks nice at first and works well for both dress and casual outfits. The leather has a decent appearance, but it feels thinner and less premium than expected. The ratchet mechanism is easy to use and allows for precise adjustments, which is convenient compared to traditional hole belts. However, the clicking system does not feel very sturdy and sometimes slips slightly during wear. Trimming the belt to fit was simple, but once cut, there is no room for error. After regular use, the belt started to show creasing and wear faster than higher quality belts. Overall, it is functional and affordable, but the materials and long term durability could be better. This is a very nice belt. You can tell it's real leather by look and feel. The outside has a high-gloss finish to it, while the inside is softer, lighter, and has a more suede-like feel to it. Since it is real leather I expect it will last for years to come. I'd say it has an average weight/thickness for a belt. The clasp uses a ratcheting mechanism to tighten/loosen, which allows for a more customizable fit than a traditional pin and hole buckel. (There is a small lever at the bottom to loosen it when needed.) The fit is adjustable, but is as expected. I normally wear a size 33 waist, and this size 34-40 belt still fits, there's just an extra long tail to it. If your waist is much smaller I'm not sure it will work though since the ratchets only go so far. (The buckel can be removed and trimmmed though.) The metal buckel is subtle and modern looking, with a black matte finish. It's nice enough looking to be worn with formal wear, but not too fancy for a pair of jeans. It was going for 11.69 (with coupon) at the time of this review, which is a great value for the money. Read more

I am pleased with this belt. I like that it is (mostly) genuine leather. I believe the outer layer (black) is leather but that the inner layer (tan) is not. The rachet moves smoothly and is easy enough to release with the small lever. It can also be shortened if the tail is too long by removing it from the buckle and cutting it to the proper length. The design is sleek and has a great look. It is very sturdy. I have no complaints! Read more

I love ratchet belts, and this one is no exception. While I have a black leather ratchet belt, it's a leather pattern, and this one is solid. The leather is very similar to those of other belts I have, which all have held up well. In terms of sizing, these are always very easy to fit. I especially appreciate that the inside is marked with inches, so that you can make a more accurate adjustment. The ratchet mechanism works well. I've found that this matches and goes along with most of my other shoes and outfits quite nicely, so I'm able to wear it quite often. For the same price, you could get a regular belt, but I find ratcheting belts so much nicer and a better value. Read more

These types of belts are a favorite of my husband and sons. My husband has had this type of belt before, so I got him this one so he’d have more. He was actually more impressed with this brand than the others he’s tried. Some have required that he cut the belt to make it fit better, but this one was just the right size. This is a good belt for casual wear, or for office work. It is easy to put on and take off. It seems to be well made and durable for lots of use. Read more
I’ve bought many ratch belts over the past 20 years. Ratchet belts are the only belts I wear. Pro’s: - It’s a ratchet belt. - Nice and “grippy” ratchet - Releases with a lever on the underside of the buckle - Easily sized with scissors (see my photo - turn the buckle over, lift the little lever that has spikes to grip the belt - pull the belt out, cut off the end and be sure it’s the end, insert the belt back into the buckle) - Reasonable finish - Well packaged Con’s: - It’s not 100% leather. These have felt inside of them and a shiny black man-made covering. Deducting a star for this. - The belt feels a little bit thinner than most of my other ratchet belts. Not enough of an issue to deduct a star. I’m wearing the belt now. If I run into any longevity issues I’ll update my review. I ordered at 16.99 and overall I think this is a reasonable value, although I try to buy ratchet belts when they go on sale/have a price drop below this price. Read more
