I was unsure if this purchase would be what I was expecting, given how many poorly made products are on the market. I am pleased with the size and quality of this coat. The zipper is not YKK but it works smoothly and appears to be of good quality for the price. There is an internal chest pocket which is nice. The jacket is thick and has been warm near freezing temperatures and I expect it to be warm in sub zero temperatures. First let me say why I made this purchase (my wife actually did). I am in the process of getting a heart transplant shortly in Chicago where it’s currently 9 degrees or lower at times. So living here in Florida doesn’t make having this it a regular part of my wardrobe. But I am pleased to say that this coat is very comfortable and warm. Not to heavy but durable. A great choice for the price. It’s not easy for a guy my size (6’2” 265lbs) to find clothes which I became a tailor. This item comes properly sized and ready for the freezing weather we’ll soon face. Well made coat, for the price. Just the right amount of pockets, the cuffs are thick and warm, and the neckline is doubly covered, which is something my husband wanted. Honestly I expected this to be junk for the money I spent. I couldn't have been more wrong. This coat is great. Super warm. I take my dog for walks on cold days. This puts me in a protective cocoon. Seems durable. For what I paid you can't go wrong with this coat. Read more

Plusses: I'm in the Seattle area, where it is now winter, meaning 30s & 40s, and this coat does fine. I especially like that it goes below my knees --- I'm 5'9". Comfortable, warm, good fit (I'm 160 lb). Minus (and cause for not giving five stars): The front zipper is tiny, flimsy, & inadequate --- I'm waiting for it to fail. It's also fussy about getting the zipper on each side to join properly, so the coat can be zipped up (impossible with gloves on). I bought this coat two months ago to replace an Eddie Bauer parka I bought when I moved up here in the 1980s from Los Angeles. That parka had a larger and much more competent and easy to use front zipper, which I miss having on this coat. Truly my only gripe with this coat --- otherwise, it looks great and works fine.
