I bought a large in this item and it fits very well. When I think of wool, I immediately think itchy but this set is soft enough to be pj's. Wow I'm so happy and impressed with the quality of this set! I got it in medium and it's meant to be form fitting to wear as a base layer to keep warm. The merino wool is so soft and not the itchy type of wool we are used to. Since it is wool, when layering it will keep the body warmth well insulated.
