I really like these. They weren't thick but the listing indicates that they are light. They fit well and I wore them indoors around the house at first. They kept my legs warm when the house was cool but not overly so. I tried them when I ran errands during temperatures in the 20s, as well as about 10 and 7 degrees. I wore them underneath my straight leg jeans. They were very comfortable. I wore them under my boot cut jeans. I wore them with sweatpants that have an "on purpose style hole" in the thigh area. I typically don't like leggings under my pants; it's usually just too much but these were fine. My coat was warm but short and at no time were my legs cold. If there's anything else that I think of to add then I'll update. I can't speak to the Merino wool aspect since I haven't worn it before (that I know of) but I can say that I'm very satisfied with these leggings and I would definitely recommend them!! Read more

100% merino wool makes for such a great base layer, these are a nice lightweight pair of pants that are thin enough to wear under any jeans or trousers and not add bulk but keep you nice and warm. I wear them under tights to run in the crazy cold days of winter. The length is perfect on me (5’7”) hitting at ankle. Merino wool does not smell and does not need to be washed after each wear, unlike other fabrics. The only thing I am not keen on is the fact they are high waisted. This leaves a lot of material around my front that is not flattering! Read more

I get cold easily in the winter, so I’m always looking for thermals or leggings to wear underneath my clothes. The problem is, I usually end up overheating because most leggings that keep me warm don’t breathe well at all. I was hesitant to try these Bobelle Wear merino wool leggings at first—wool usually means itchy! But after learning that merino wool is known for being soft and not scratchy, I decided to give them a shot. I’m so glad I did. These leggings are everything they claim to be: soft, breathable, warm, and completely itch-free. The comfort level honestly surprised me. They fit really well and have plenty of stretch, making them easy to move around in. As a salesperson who’s constantly in and out of the car all day, I deal with big temperature swings. My mornings often start around 25 degrees and end around 50, and these leggings keep me warm in the cold without making me feel sweaty or overheated by the afternoon. They’re lightweight, feel high-quality, and add warmth without adding any bulk under clothing. The only thing to note is that they’re not meant to be worn alone—they are quite see-through, so they’re definitely designed to be a base layer. Under pants, though, they’re perfect and completely unnoticeable. Overall, these Bobelle Wear merino wool leggings are excellent. Comfortable, well-made, temperature-regulating, and worth every penny. If you need something warm but breathable for cold days, these are absolutely the way to go! Read more

This is thinner than I expected but in a good way. It is a good base layer to help you stay warm without being bulky! Although this is made of wool, it is not itchy! Merino wool is a premium grade, breathable wool known to provide the warmth without the itchiness or bulk of traditional wool. It is good for all seasons because it is also moisture wicking and odor resistant. It is soft, stretchy, and so comfortable! I would not wear this legging alone, since it is see-through. You could wear it with a long tunic shirt, short dress or mini skirt or dressy shorts. It is a true carbon black color. I ordered this legging for my sister. The seams were nicely stitched. The elastic band is comfortable and also does not add bulk around the waist, so she could layer this with nearly all of her usual clothing. It recently snowed in our area, and this legging kept my sister so warm! It is true to size. She wears a size small, and it fit perfectly! Her measurements: height 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm), inseam 27 inches, waist 28 inches, hips 33 inches, weight 127 pounds (57.6 kg). Be sure to hand wash and line dry to keep it from shrinking. I'm loving all the natural fibers these days and these 100% merino wool long John's don't disappoint. They're a great base layer if you own pants that aren't super fitting. They'd also be good under a long skirt/ dress. They're not super form fitting or flattering, but I've never had a pair of long John's that were. They're a bit on the thinner side as you can see my skin through them on my knee, but they are very warm and extremely soft! No itchy wool to be found. It's pretty loose at the waste, not the elastic, that's wide, but snug... there just seems to be a lot of material like when I sit, it bunches a bit so might be a bit weird under pants. 🤷🏼♀️I can pull them up pretty high. But overall, I think they're a good natural fiber base layer to have on hand! Read more

I ordered these merino wool leggings for my wife, and she absolutely loves them. The mornings in Hawaii have been around 62 degrees lately. That might not sound cold, but here it feels like winter! These leggings have been perfect for that kind of weather. They are super soft, breathable, and great for wearing around the house. They are not itchy or scratchy at all. She wears them while working from home to stay warm and comfortable before the sun heats up the house. She will wash them inside out and line dry to help prevent pilling, and so far, they have held up well after a couple of washes. We are hoping to visit Tahoe during the Christmas break, and she is excited to test out the full benefits of merino wool during the trip. Merino leggings are supposed to regulate body temperature, wick perspiration away from the skin, and retain heat even when damp, which will be perfect for snowboarding. She is also curious to see how well the natural antimicrobial properties hold up during days of activity. She is so glad that I ordered these to help her prepare for our trip and feels they will be even more useful in colder climates than they are here in Hawaii. Read more
