Wool and merino wool is naturally antibacterial which is actually pretty great for underwear - especially thongs. Despite this you still want to wash each pair after you wear it once. I wash mine on delicate/handwash cycle, low spin, cold water and in delicates/garment bags. I then line dry them indoors. If you were to wash these not utilizing any special care I imagine they would get fuzzy and start looking old fairly quickly - but I can’t say for sure. These are slightly thin (in some of my photos you can see that since the light shows through the fabric). I ordered a size small and they fit fine in the waist but are a bit long for me. I also like to wear my underwear right on my hips, if I were to pull them up over my hip bones then they would fit tightly/correctly. I normally wear a small or extra small in underwear. It just depends on the brand. The extra white fabric on the inside of the underwear is fully sewn into the underwear - unlike every other pair of underwear I own that is separated in the front. To be honest I have no idea why underwear is like that, so the fact these are sewn together is not an issue. These are beautifully made and exceptionally comfortable. I’m very intentional about choosing clean, breathable materials, and the merino wool feels lightweight, soft, and naturally temperature-regulating without being bulky. I am a fool for Merino wool underwear. It is just the best, most comfortable material to make underwear from. And this brand really does a great job keeping the pricing reasonable. I understand that Merino wool is not cheap, so I appreciate an option that is not as expensive. These thongs are so comfortable that I am not aware of wearing them, and all in all, I think that it's a great brand and a great value. The only reason that I took off one star was that I think the underwear is a much brighter color in real life. I think maybe their photograph needs to be adjusted because mine are very brightly colored. Especially the fuchsia color. It's certainly a lot more Va Va Voom than I normally buy. But it's not a problem or anything. Edit: I hate the fact that it has a white gusset. If you know, you know. I would wear these literally every day if I could, but because of the gusset, I can't wear them for about a week every month. Any dark color would be better than this white gusset.
