If you are hesitating buying this, don't!! I have meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and my almost 50 yr old eye lids are not what they used to be. I was trying to do eye lid massages with my finger and even tried using a qtip, but because of loose skin on my eye lids I wasn't able to massage the area effectively and I felt like I was pulling on my eye lids too much. I have been wanting to try this for so long and am so happy I did! It really does help! I also was pleasantly surprised at the quality and I love the case it came in. I'm stye prone! This has been so helpful in expressing the oil from my eyelids and giving it a nice massage. It's a lot better than trying to use my fingers (even when freshly washed!) or a washcloth over and over again. I wear an eye mask to bed so I just use this in the morning, either hot or cold, when I wake up. It's a great size and easy to hold in my hand and covers my eye surface quickly and easily. For the cold, I feel instant relief from puffiness and inflammation when I pop it in the fridge or freezer. My ophthalmologist told me to use a hot compress and massage my eyelids a certain way with my fingers to express the oil from the glands for dry eyes. This massage roller is usable on both ends, both the ball and the roller end, and comes with a nice magnetic-close bag. I tried soaking it in hot water and rolling it along my eyes, but I didn’t notice much difference (no oil came out of the eyelid). Maybe I just haven’t gotten the hang of it yet but chilling the roller in the fridge helps a lot with depuffing in the morning. Read more
