The black grater is pretty common, bought from a grocery store. The coarse sized matching grater broke, due to the plastic frame. The Magery Stainless Grater is much more robust. Very sturdy and larger. I have seen comments about it not being sharp. I believe this is because graters like this are not sharpened, They are just stamped stainless steel, and the steel on the Magery grater is definitely a heavier gauge than what is used on the cheaper plastic frame grater. At 67 years old, I have owned a few graters, all of which were similar to the plastic frame grater, in metal thickness. If you put a little power behind what you are grating, it works very well. I may sand the cutting side with 220 sandpaper to make it sharper and faster, It does not need to be knife sharp. The grater cleans easier than my old one and I feel it will last for many years. I got this large flat stainless steel grater for my son. He wanted a large grater (not those small skinny ones) that he could get his big hands into the handle, something that was heavy duty enough to put up with his style of grating without breaking and that would be easy to clean. This grater has all the qualities he wanted. He can be rough with it as he shreds his extra sharp block cheese or vegetables, and not worry about trying to get his large hands inside a box like grater to clean after use.
