Mian 4 Cup Universal Stainless Steel Espresso Coffee Replacement Carafe

Bought recently as my sister broke her glass one. I was looking for something a bit stronger than glass and found this lovely gem. First off, its super durable and fits neatly under the spout. No tipping or turning to get it underneath. Easy to wash and care for and in our case, more durable than the glass models. So very happy to buy this and she was so excited to get it. I wanted to wait a while for a proper review, and it has been 4 years and a month, so now I'm ready. This was a spare for my expresso machine, I used to buy glass ones, but they got broken so I had to have one stored as a replacement and buy another when the replacement was in use. Until I found this one. This 4 year old still looks good, still works and is just perfect, you use it, clean it and use it again, and unless we are not home, it's used everyday. Cleans perfectly and it may have a darker color inside, cuz of the coffee, but it is a light dark. If you use the glass cup, think of this one for a replacement, it works great! Read more

Since the dimensions are not clear, to let anyone interested that this is the exact size of the regular small glass carafes and will fit perfectly. It pours without dribling or spilling a drop. It does not have a lid but that is not a concern with my situation. It is also very easy to clean. The workmanship is very good with a strong handle firmly secured but the gauge of the metal could be heavier as it sits flimsly on the counter and could fall and get dented and I took one star away for that. Overall it is a great substitute for the glass carafes that can break and cause injury with glass splinters. Read more

Had to delete my review from my original purchase 4 years ago as the product currently being sold has changed considerably. I switched to a steal replacement carafe after getting fed up with how easily the glass ones broke and how much work it was to clean up broken glass. It was the right move and I got 4 years out of the steal carafe. Handle finally broke off though after 4 years of daily use and more than a couple drops, so I ordered this current one. It looks like it is going to be good but the metal is much thinner than the old model. Don't squeeze the cup too hard. Read more
