Read up and watch videos before use and then try on a non-conspicuous place to test it out on yourself. We got it for acne scars, injury and surgical scars. We haven't consistently used it enough to get good results yet, and that's one thing we learned is you do need to be consistent if you want to see big changes. It doesn't really hurt if you adjust it and work your way up in depth, don't try to cheat and go full depth thinking your will save yourself some time lol. Easy to use, east to clean and function is simple. Cleanliness is no joke cause you are permeating your skin and infectious are super easy to get, so clean your skin before and after and the pen. Microneedling derma pens such as this are super useful for a variety of skin or hair issues. This one is presented in a very professional, sterile setup. I definitely recommend it. The needle cartridges are all individually wrapped in sterile packages. So when you are ready for your derma pen session you will have a fresh, sterile cartridge that you don’t have to sterilize yourself, like you do with dermarollers. Inserting the cartridges is easy. You basically push and twist to lock. Do the opposite to remove. You’ll want to figure out what needle length you need for what you’re using the device for beforehand. Then you can adjust needle length with a twist of the scale adjustment ring. I would recommend starting with less than what you think you need until you’re used to using the device. Powering on and off the device is easy. You simply long press the button. Short press for cycling through speeds. Charging is simple. The charging port is on the bottom of the device. There is a charging cable and charging brick included, which is nice. These days most items do not come with charging bricks. The device has a storage sleeve and a hard case large enough for the device, charging cable and brick and a few cartridges. I found the included user manual very useful and easy to understand. The media could not be loaded. I like that the Ultima M8 has it’s own box to keep everything in one place. It has everything in it to get me started except serum. I supply my own serum. It even has a charger with it. The heads are all wrapped separate and are sanitary for my use. They are marked on the outside of the package letting me know which size they are. It came with two different sizes of needles, 10 size 16-p, 10 size 36-p and 10 nanos. I use the nanos on the stubborn dark spots and scar’s. That is 30 cartridge heads in my box. I found the machine to work very well. The speeds are easily changed and the digital display is clear. I like it has 6 speeds and I can adjust the length of the needles at the top of the unit by turning it. The heads, are easy in, and easy to get out. I use one head and when I am done through it away. My heads are used once to keep them sanitary. The machine really helps at getting my serum in to my skin . With this machine it saves me from going to the salon and saves my time by doing it myself at night before bed a couple times a week.
