The greater bladder is sharp and works fantastically! It can quickly make mounds of light, soft, fluffy grated parmesan. It is perfect for hard cheeses. I already have a coarse Microplane and really resisted getting yet another kitchen tool/gadget. But now I regret waiting so long. The clear plastic cover/catch tray feels flimsy and useless. But the greater itself is fabulous and I don't need the cover it all. Read more

I purchased this grater because my old one broke. We eat a lot of cheese and I use it a couple of times a week. It is super sharp and easy to use. Grates cheese perfectly but you do have to be careful. I've already grated my fingers twice now. I don't really use the attached measuring cup but I bought this for my sister a few years back and her attachment didn't last long. Definitely not a deal breaker. Read more

Nice and sharp, quick and easy zesting. Love the cover that doubles as a collector of the zest. Washes up easily. Read more

The microplane works well. I wish the cover was better designed. If you push it on just a little too hard, it pops off. When it is on, it doesn't feel very secure. Read more

This is a fantastic grater for zest as well as nutmeg. I can grate half of a nutmeg in about a minute. It’s fine and fluffy and the plastic piece holds it all so I’m not dirtying a plate. It has measurement marks as well which are handy when I need just enough for a recipe. It washes up nicely in the dishwasher and seems to be staying sharp. Read more

Great quality microblade grater, perfect for grating cheese, garlic, or whatever else you need it for. Ergonomic black handle is comfortable to use. Plastic cover can be used to hold cheese while grating which is a nice feature. I also use the cover in reverse for easy storage. It's very sharp so be careful, but it's so much better than old fashioned hand held meal graters. Read more

I really admired the cleverness of this design which uses the plastic cover to create a chamber to collect the gratings when you slide it onto the reverse side. Unfortunately, the curved grating surface is a nightmare. In 2 incidents in the last month, I have ripped a massive deep bloody hole in the side of my hand, and sliced my thumbnail 1/4 way down the nail bed (which is exactly as enjoyable as it sounds), when cheese does what you'd expect it to do, and slides free of the rounded surface (!!??).. leaving your fingers in harm's way with sufficient force to hurt yourself. The cover fits too loose to brace the device against the kitchen counter (as with most graters) which would have prevented some of the danger. And the bezel edge that secures the grating surface is already breaking off after a month. I understand why they designed this with the features they did, but after one test run, they must have concluded this thing is unbelievably dangerous, and fine-tuned it If you must buy this, get a tetanus shot first. You're going to need it. Read more

The elite series microplane works really well. I like that it has a cover that can protect the blade, but can also be attached on the flatside to catch whatever you're microplaning. Read more
